AzerbaijanIn the summer of 2018, the Michael W Travels family visited three countries in Eastern Europe and then headed over to the Caucasus to visit three more.

Our first stop was Azerbaijan. We spent a few days in Baku and also took a day trip outside the city.

Find Out What We Tried At McDonald’s In Chisinau, Moldova

Moldova Since we’e stuck indoors,  I’m trying to catch up on posts I never got around to writing in the past.

Back in the summer of 2018 the Michael W Travels family took a trip to Eastern Europe and the Caucasus. I recently I wrote about our experience at McDonalds in Ukraine (check out my review at the link below). That wasn’t the only country where we found the boys’ favorite American restaurant chain.

While visiting Chisinau, Moldova we only had one full day to check out the city. As we walked around, we made a stop at McDonald’s for lunch. While we rarely eat McD’s at home, we always stop in while visiting a new country to see what interesting items might be offered. Food Review: The Burger & Wings From Teddy’s Bar & Grill- Brooklyn, NY

Teddy's Bar & GrillI’d place burgers at this point as my second favorite food, just behind pizza.

Over the years, I’ve tried burgers at some of the top places in New York City. I’ve also sought out burgers from some of the oldest and most classic bars and restaurants in the area.

One of my favorite burgers in the country is served at Peter Luger Steakhouse open since 1887. Another excellent burger can be had at Keen’s Steakhouse which opened in 1885. Yesterday I shared news about a limited time Shake Shack x Pat LaFrieda Collab: Steak Fries to go.

This special menu item would only be available at two locations, one in New York City and one in New Jersey.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, restaurants are doing food delivery or to go orders. To get out and still practice social distancing, we decided to drive to Shake Shack’s West Village Innovation Kitchen to give the steak frites a try. Shake Shack x Pat LaFrieda Collab: Steak Frites To-Go

shake shackShake Shack has long been a favorite fast-casual restaurant for my family and I.

The restaurant offers quality food like tasty burgers (featuring meat from famed butcher Pat LaFrieda), chicken sandwiches and more. Their shakes are silky smooth and delicious, too.

Find Out What We Tried At McDonald’s In Ukraine

ukraineWhile we rarely dine at McDonald’s at home, we have to pay a visit to the fast food chain in every country we visit.

It’s always fun to see what interesting menu items are offered at international McDonald’s locations.

What Did We Try At McDonald’s The Netherlands

the NetherlandsLucas and I recently returned from our Father-Son Trip to the Netherlands.

During our visit, we based out of Amsterdam and spent a couple of days enjoying the city. We also took day trips to Utrecht and Haarlem. Both are easy day/ half-day trips from Amsterdam and well worth checking out.

McD’s Online Shop Now Has Quarter Pounder Fan Club Gear

Quarter PounderWhen it comes to McDonald’s food, my kids are fans, mainly due to the Happy Meal toys and chicken nuggets. I’m only really interested in McD’s when we’re traveling since I love checking out what’s on their international menus.

In early December I wrote about how McDonald’s now had a permanent online shop selling various items.
