My kids are big fans of McDonalds, primarily for the Happy Meal toys and chicken nuggets. I’m also a big fan of McD’s but I’m only really excited about visiting while in an international destination.
McDonalds offers a taste of home while traveling but even more importantly, I love seeing what local menu items are available in other countries.
I’ve written reviews of many international McDonald’s restaurants. Continue reading McDonald’s Now Has A Permanent Online Shop But…
When traveling internationally, I love visiting McDonalds to see what interesting, local menu items might be available.
At most McDonalds in the U.S., the menu tends to typically be the same. I have heard that a lobster roll might be available in New England. I’ve never seen it on a menu. From what I recall, it’s a seasonal item… Continue reading This McDonalds In Baltimore Offers An Odd Item For Sale
The Michael W Travels family have been big fans of Filipino fast food chain Jollibee since we first gave it a try in 2016 in Woodside, NY.
I was happy to learn that Jollibee would be expanding with an upcoming Manhattan location. However that location took over two years to open! Lucas and I made an unplanned visit to the new NYC location while on the way to the NY Times Travel Show.
Since then, we recently visited Jollibee in Woodside where we enjoyed various tasty items. Continue reading This Is Better Than The Popeyes Chicken Sandwich
During our trip to France during winter break last year, we enjoyed many culinary delights while also visiting many great sites.
One Paris restaurant served one dish and it was awesome! We also enjoyed eating delicious but pricey macarons, croissants, eclairs and other incredible baked goods. Continue reading Save A Trip To France, Visit Parisian Bakery Poilane At NYC Pop-Up
Better late than never… The Michael W Travels family attended the 2nd Annual New York Pizza Festival in Bronx’s Little Italy on October 5th. (I’ve been a bit tardy on getting my post together.)
Last year, we attended the 1st NY Pizza Festival and had a great time. It was a no-brainer that we’d return again this year.
To change things up, we headed to the festival on the first day of the two day event. Due to this we didn’t have any recommendations to go by when choosing which slices to try. Continue reading Our Experience At The 2nd Annual New York Pizza Festival
Last weekend the Michael W Travels family attended the 2nd Annual New York Pizza Festival in the Bronx’s Little Italy. (Check out my review of last year’s festival here.)
Towards the end of the event, we saw a huge crowd forming by one of the stands so I went over for a closer look. To my surprise, I saw NYC’s Mayor De Blasio making pizza! Continue reading The Very Important Question I Asked NYC’s May De Blasio At The NY Pizza Festival
On Saturday, September 28, Kim, Lucas and I headed to The Red Cube in Lower Manhattan for the start of the 5 Boro Pizza Challenge.
This wasn’t our first time competing in the challenge. Back in 2017, Kim, Theo and I completed the race and had a great time. (Find out about our experience here.)
For those of you unfamiliar with the challenge, here’s a description of what goes down. Continue reading Our Experience Running The 2019 NYC 5 Boro Pizza Challenge
I’m always on the lookout for great new pizza close to home and while traveling.
We’re pretty lucky with the fact that Brooklyn pizza is some of the best you’ll come across just about anywhere. There’s also plenty of great shops in Manhattan and the other boroughs.
We also like going on trips to Connecticut, Philadelphia and (to a lesser extent) New Jersey in search of great pizza. Continue reading Brooklyn Pizza Scene Gets Even Better, Head To F & F Pizzeria Now!
I came across the pizzeria Benny Tudinos years back and made a note of it due to it’s massive slice.
Up until last weekend, I never had a chance to make it to the shop, located in Hoboken, NJ.
As we approached Benny Tudinos, Kim, Lucas and I were impressed by the smell both outside and as we entered. Continue reading Benny Tudino’s, Home Of The Largest Slice Of Pizza I’ve Ever Had!
During our trip to South Asia, we had a long layover in Chicago before making our way to the Maldives.
I was hoping to go into the city but it seemed too far away to make it worthwhile. Instead, Kim and I decided to go to Morton Grove (around 20 minutes away) to grab lunch at Pequod’s Pizza.
Pequod’s Pizza is deep-dish, Chicago-style pizza known for its “carmelized crust” edge. Continue reading A Visit To The Famed Pequod’s Pizza During A Layover In Chicago
