Last week I wrote about Una Pizza Napoletana expanding with a second location and now a famed Brooklyn pizzeria will be following suit.
In the near future, you’ll be able to get L&B Spumoni Gardens saucy squares at a new location in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
The 80 year-old pizzeria, famed for their squares and spumoni will be expanding for the first time. Continue reading Famed Brooklyn Pizzeria L&B Spumoni Gardens Opening 2nd Location
A little over a year ago, I finally got to try Una Pizza Napoletana and it was amazing!
The pizzeria started out in New Jersey, then moved to NYC before leaving for San Francisco. Then in May 2018, Una Pizza Napoletana reopened on New York’s Lower East Side.
Since my initial visit, Kim and I dined their again in late 2018. The pizzas are excellent but definitely on the pricier end of the spectrum. Continue reading Una Pizza Napoletana Opening 2nd Location In New Jersey
I first heard about St Louis-style Pizza when the restaurant Speedy Romeo opened in Brooklyn.
What makes St Louis-style pizza different is that it’s made with Provel, a processed cheese consisting of provolone, Swiss and white cheddar. The pies are also cut differently. (More on that later.)
On the long trip home from our trip to Argentina and Uruguay, we had a long layover in St Louis. I planned a few things to do with the time including trying St Louis-style pizza where it’s from! (This was planned prior to our flight being cancelled.) Continue reading Food Review: St. Louis-Style Pizza at Imo’s Pizza
I recently shared what we booked with my 25,000 points Marriott free night.
We booked a one night stay at the Fairfield Inn in Philadelphia Downtown/ Center City.
Philly was a good choice for us due to the proximity to home (we drove), the great food and lots of kid friendly options. Continue reading Does The DoubleTree Cookie Have Competition From Fairfield Inn?
During a trip to Barcelona, Spain the Michael W Travels also visited the small landlocked country of Andorra. (Andorra is located between Spain and France in the Pyrenees Mountains.)
Find out what we did with 25 Hours In Andorra.
Soon after crossing the border, we were all hungry and a McDonald’s location just so happened to be on the road we were on. Since I love to check out McD’s when visiting a new country, this was the perfect opportunity. (The following morning we also stopped into a different location for breakfast.) Continue reading What Did We Try At McDonald’s Andorra
The TWA Hotel at JFK Airport has been a long awaited project for quite some time.
We visited the TWA Flight Center a couple of times when it was part of OpenHouse NY. Check out a photo tour that I put together a while back.
The TWA Hotel is just a couple of weeks away from opening and the property is making some headlines. Continue reading TWA Hotel At JFK Airport Getting Its Own Food Hall
A couple of months back, I wrote about a disappointing Priority Pass Lounge, Bobby Van’s Grill at JFK Airport.
BVG isn’t a typical Priority Pass Lounge, it’s a restaurant where members get a $28 credit. If you bring a guest, multiply it times 2 and you have $56 to spend during your visit.
While we weren’t happy with our selections, Kim and I figured another visit would be in order in the near future. Continue reading Much Better 2nd Visit At Priority Pass Lounge, Bobby Van’s Grill- JFK Airport
Over February break, the Michael W Travels family visited Barcelona, Spain.
Spain was the first country I visited in Europe years back. This would be the first visit to the country for the rest of my family.
During our visit, we had to make a visit to McDonalds. We ended up stopping by during our first day… Continue reading Find Out What We Tried At McDonald’s Spain
While doing some research related to places to dine in Barcelona, I came across Pinotxo bar (Pinocchio) thanks to Travel Channel.
Travel Channel listed Pinotxo Bar as a favorite of Anthony Bourdain so I immediately added it to my list. (We attempted to go to one other restaurant which made the list but failed…)
Pinotxo Bar is located in the famous Boqueria Market, the most famous market in Barcelona. Continue reading Anthony Bourdain Recommended: Pinotxo Bar- Barcelona, Spain
A couple of weeks back, the #1 rated burger in America came to NYC when Au Cheval opened in Tribeca.
I’ve long wanted to take another trip to Chicago and try Au Cheval’s cheeseburger. While I still want to go to Chicago again, trying this popular burger became much easier for me.
Last weekend the Michael W Travels family headed to Tribeca with the hopes of getting into Au Cheval without much of a wait for brunch. Continue reading Trying The Top Rated Burger In America At Au Cheval NYC
