Over the past few years there’s been lots of posts about the Bourdain Market. In the end, the chef turned author turned traveling TV host will not be opening his market in NYC.

Food halls are a fun place to visit due to the variety of options being offered. NYC has lots of excellent food halls, with more in the works.  Since opening, our new favorite is DeKalb Market in Brooklyn, NY.

The borough is about to get some big competition from Time Out. Continue reading Time Out Opening Huge Food Hall In NYC

When traveling to other countries, I love visiting McDonald’s to see what kind of interesting menu items might be offered.

McD’s is also a good option when you’re traveling¬† with little kids since they’re usually excited to get a little toy with their meal. (A big added bonus is when the location still has a play area.)

I’ve previously written about McDonald’s we’ve visited in: Continue reading I’d Love To Try This International McDonalds Burger

Find Out What We Tried At McDonald’s Greece

While we rarely dine at McDonald’s at home, we had to pay a visit to the fast food chain in each country.

A Visit to the Oldest Pizzeria in the US: Papa’s Tomato Pies

tomato piesLombardi’s claims to be the first and oldest pizzeria in America, having opened in 1905. The issue with Lombardi’s claim is that it closed in 1984 and didn’t open again until 10 years later, in a new location.

Lombardi’s does make excellent pies and I definitely recommend a visit if you’re in NYC.

Since Lombardi’s closed for a decade, what is the oldest operating pizzeria in the U.S. now? Continue reading A Visit to the Oldest Pizzeria in the US: Papa’s Tomato Pies

A Visit to the New & Highly Anticipated Sorbillo Pizzeria in NYC

Sorbillo PizzeriaBack in February I wrote how the top pizzaiolo in Naples, Gino Sorbillo was opening a pizzeria in NYC.
