Find Out What We Tried At McDonald’s in Baku, Azerbaijan

AzerbaijanIn the summer of 2018, the Michael W Travels family visited three countries in Eastern Europe and then headed over to the Caucasus to visit three more.

Our first stop was Azerbaijan. We spent a few days in Baku and also took a day trip outside the city.

Searching For A Traditional Papakha Hat In Azerbaijan & Georgia

papakhaWhile traveling to new countries, I’m always on the lookout for traditional, local hats. However, in recent years I haven’t really bought any new hats since they can be a pain to carry around during a trip.

In the past, I’ve shared some of my World Hats here. My collection probably comes in at around 15-20 hats. It’s been years since I last shared a post about a hat.

Our Awkward Uber Experience In Baku, Azerbaijan

uberThe Michael W Travels family is currently on a month long summer trip.

When visiting a city, our preferred form of transportation is walking. When we need to go to further areas, we love taking public transportation.

Anthony Bourdain Banned From Entering Azerbaijan

The new season of the Anthony Bourdain show Parts Unknown is half way through. He still has some interesting destinations coming up over the next month.

Anthony Bourdain isn’t afraid to share his opinions on his show and in life. My guess is that he probably has a hard time following the rules.
