Brooklyn’s pizza shop Lucali ranks at the top of the best pizzerias in America on just about every list each year.

Chef, author and globetrotting TV star Anthony Bourdain tragically died almost three years back. Since then, a scholarship was started in his name by the Culinary Institute of America and New Jersey’s Anthony Bourdain Food Trail officially debuted.

While I am not a member of Costco, I do like to visit the massive store one or two times per year.
Non-members can shop at Costco by going with a friend or family member, that’s what I do. While at the store, besides buying overly large sized packages of some foods and snacks, there is one other thing that stands out. It might even be considered the highlight of the visit. The NY Pizza Festival first took place back in 2018 in the Bronx’s Little Italy.
The event was a lot of fun and we returned the following year for the 2nd annual event. (Find out about the very important questions I asked NYC’s May DeBlasio.)

We’ve tried a few of the pizzas mentioned in the article, enjoying tasty pies from Washington Squares, Black Seed Pizza and Michelin-starrted Momofuku Ko. (We’ve been the latter twice, one time doing takeout, the other time dining in, well sitting outside.)
