I recently wrote about Delta adding more in-flight craft beer options and now another airline is adding to a couple of new brews to their inflight selection.

If beer is your drink of choice, you’ll probably be happy to see a couple of more options to choose from once you are done going through Southwest’s boarding process and have chosen your seat. Continue reading Cheers! New Beers Offered On Southwest

Anthony Bourdain’s Food Hall To Open In NYC In 2015

I remember reading about Anthony Bourdain’s idea of opening a food hall in NYC with the concept being something along the line of world foods. It was a while back and I can’t recall the last time I heard any mention of it until last night.

Eater reports that the food hall will be called Bourdain Market. They also mention rumors of it opening at 3 World Trade Center. Continue reading Anthony Bourdain’s Food Hall To Open In NYC In 2015

Countries That Drink the Most

While I don’t drink so much anymore, I still found these alcohol statistics to be pretty interesting.

When it comes to drinking, these days I usually go with a beer. It’s a good time to like beer with newer, local breweries popping up all over the United States.

If I don’t go with a beer, my drink of choice tends to be vodka mixed with either tonic (or Red Bull if I’m feeling a bit tired). Continue reading Countries That Drink the Most

Last week I shared some exciting news for Delta business flyers about Blue Smoke being added to a bunch of new European destinations departing from JFK airport.

Here is some info from Blue Smoke:  “Blue Smoke celebrates the evolving American South and honors its culinary traditions. Inspired by the many regions of the South, from the Carolina coast to the hills of central Texas, the food is soulful with a selection of smoked meats, fresh produce, and thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Classic and specialty cocktails, an extensive American craft beer list, American wines and whiskey served by a welcoming team complete the experience.

Along with the new destinations where Blue Smoke will be on offer, so will an expanded list of menu options. Continue reading Blue Smoke’s In-Flight Delta Menu & My Picks

Less than two weeks back I shared some exciting news if you’re a craft beer fan and also happen to fly with Delta. Check out my post Cheers! Delta Adds More In-Flight Craft Beer Options.

Delta has seemed to be ahead of the culinary game so to speak when it comes to U.S. airlines.

They ordered 222,000,000 snacks in 2013 and the awesome T4 opened at JFK offering Shake Shack and other impressive food options. Continue reading Blue Smoke Being Added To More Delta Flights

Top US Airports Ranked By Food

Last year I wrote about Eater’s Airport Dining Guides which are a great way to find out about the best food at many airports.

I use the guides just about every time we fly. They’ve saved us the time of wandering around in search of better food since we could just look it up in Eater’s guide.

You can also find out about the Best Airport Food in the World in a post from a couple of months back.

I came across another useful list of airport food from Thrillist. Continue reading Top US Airports Ranked By Food

Food Review: McDonald’s Mozzarella Sticks

McDonalds Mozzarella Sticks

Some of you may have noticed that I like to visit McDonald’s while traveling around the world.

While McD’s is a place that I rarely ever dine at while home, I love stopping in international locations to see if any interesting items (which are not available in the U.S.) are sold.

From time to time I might stop at a McDonald’s at home. For example, we stopped at the Train Car McD’s in Massachusetts a few years back but didn’t order anything to eat. Continue reading Food Review: McDonald’s Mozzarella Sticks

Delta SkyMiles Dining

After offering a “Mega” Bonus opportunity for dining last month (dine out 10 times & spend $40 or more to earn 10,000 bonus miles), Delta has come back with a more attainable (yet less lucrative) bonus offer.

With this new offer, I’ve been selected to have the opportunity to earn a bonus of 1,000 miles for only 3 dines. Continue reading SkyMiles Dining 1,000 Bonus Miles Offer

Last month I wrote a post about America’s Oldest Bars which was based on by an article from Thrillist.

I recently came across another “America’s Oldest” article that was of great interest to me.

Restaurants aren’t always just a place to eat a decent meal. Some are quite old and historical. They might even offer a look back into the past. Kim and I have visited and dined at a few restaurants that fit this description. Continue reading America’s Oldest Restaurants
