Most Visited Tourist Attractions in World

The Grand Bazaar- Istanbul, Turkey

Have you ever wondered what the most visited tourist sites in the world might be?

I haven’t ever really given this topic much thought but if I had to guess, I’d go with popular sites like the Eiffel Tower, Times Square and maybe something like Disney World.

Travel + Leisure put together a slide show of World’s Most-Visited Tourist Attractions.

Going through the slide show, I’m not so sure that I’d consider the most-visited attractions such a great representation of the world’s best.  Continue reading Most Visited Tourist Attractions in World

10 Most Romantic Islands in World

romantic island I guess that I’m not a very romantic traveler…

When I think of islands, lazy beach vacations come to mind. You know the kind where you sit around and drink those colorful drinks with umbrellas sticking out of the glass. As for the romance part, add in a massage or two and that could sum up a romantic island. (I’m probably leaving out a few important parts of the recipe…) Continue reading 10 Most Romantic Islands in World

Last month I wrote a post about America’s Oldest Bars which was based on by an article from Thrillist.

I recently came across another “America’s Oldest” article that was of great interest to me.

Restaurants aren’t always just a place to eat a decent meal. Some are quite old and historical. They might even offer a look back into the past. Kim and I have visited and dined at a few restaurants that fit this description. Continue reading America’s Oldest Restaurants

overhead bin

Over the weekend I ran a poll to get some feedback about a topic that I’ve often thought  a lot about both while waiting to board and during boarding.

I have my opinion on overhead bin space but wanted to see what you think when it comes to the question: Who Owns The Overhead Bin Space?

I decided to run a poll after writing a post a few months back about the (overhead bin space) topic which you can check out here. Continue reading Who Owns The Overhead Bin Space- Poll Results

Who Owns Overhead Bin Space- Vote Now

Overhead Bin

At the end of September I wrote a post asking an interesting question- Who Owns the Overhead Bin Space?

Now obviously none of us actually own the space but do we pay for the right to get our fair share of storage up top?

Why is it fair that overhead bin space should have to be saved for those lugging on larger pieces of luggage while other bringing on smaller bags should have to use their precious foot space for those pieces? Continue reading Who Owns Overhead Bin Space- Vote Now

11 Hair-Raising Sites Around the World

creepy sites

Happy Halloween to everyone! I hope you have a spooky and fun day.

As a little kid the day was quite special due to the large amounts of candy we’d love to collect while going door to door. (I also enjoyed ringing people’s door bells many times if they weren’t quick to answer their door!)

These days, I can’t say that I care much about Halloween but Lucas is actually excited to dress up this year. Kim made costumes for us, (We bought Lucas’). Mine is actually just a shirt but it’s related to one of the things I am quite interested in when traveling catacombs and bones.

Yes, we’ll all be skeletons for Halloween. How creative! Continue reading 11 Hair-Raising Sites Around the World

How do you decide where to go on your next trip?

Do you pick a place based on a mistake airfare deal or award flight availability? Not likely on that last option!

When deciding where we go on trips, there are a bunch of variables we look at. Continue reading Where Should You Go in 2015? Take the Quiz
