When it comes to sports, baseball is my favorite.
I’ve seen games in many stadiums in the US and I have also been to games in Canada, Cuba, Japan and South Korea.
A visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame is a must for any fan. I’ve been there three times and would like to go again. I also visited the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory, another amazing museum all about baseball where you can also learn how bats are made. Continue reading A Visit to the Yogi Berra Museum, A Must for Baseball Fans!
Four Seattle Mariners minor league players didn’t want to wake up early for their team’s road trip to New Mexico. Rather than get up at 3:00am, they planned to catch a flight with American Airlines.
When the flight didn’t work out, they decided to take an extremely pricey Uber ride to meet up with their team. Continue reading Baseball Players Take $683 Uber Ride To Game
While traveling I love going to see local sports when possible.
Here are some sporting events I’ve been to:
- Soccer in Scotland and Lithuania
- Aussie Rules Football in Sydney, Australia
- Rugby in New Zealand
- Kickboxing in Thailand
Then there’s my favorite sport- Baseball! I’ve been to lots of MLB games/ stadiums in the US (and Canada- the Blue Jays). We’ve also been to professional games in Japan and Cuba. Continue reading A Great Experience: Korea Baseball Organization- LG Twins Game
I haven’t had much luck spotting celebrities during a flight. Then again, I can’t say that I am ever on the lookout for them.
Last year, Kim noticed a famous actress on one of our flight. She whispered to me that Sandra Oh from Grey’s Anatomy was sitting right in front of me. We didn’t say anything but we did notice a flight attendant approach her and make some small chat. Continue reading Fan Spots MLB Star Mike Napoli On Flight & This Happened!
Last month I wrote that there might be MLB Spring Training games in Cuba next season.
The last time MLB was on the island was back in 1991 when the Baltimore Orioles played an exhibition game there.
While I haven’t come across much more info about potential games in Cuba for next season, MLB will be visiting sooner than expected. Continue reading MLB Going On Goodwill Tour of Cuba
Over the summer full diplomatic relations were restored between the US and Cuba.
Many people, myself included have long wanted to visit the island so this appears to be a step in the right direction towards being able to go there someday.
With relations restored, many companies are probably looking for ways to create new business opportunities in or with Cuba. Continue reading MLB Spring Training Games in Cuba?
It’s been tough being a New York Mets fan over the years but 2015 has been a really great season. With the World Series starting on Tuesday night, it will be the Mets first time back in 15 years.
I’ve been watching more baseball than usual due to the playoffs. Since the WS doesn’t start until next week, Lucas can have the TV back until the series begins!
If you’ve been following the playoffs, you may have thought that Daniel Murphy’s record six straight playoff games with a home runs streak led them to their upcoming World Series appearance. But you’d be wrong…. Continue reading Delta Carrying Mets to World Series? I thought Daniel Murphy Did!
Back in May I wrote about Amazon Prime becoming JetBlue’s newest inflight entertainment option.
This was a great addition for those with Amazon Prime accounts, adding even more choices to the airline’s offering of free DIRECTV and (free) FlyFi internet service.
With all of these options, I find it hard that anyone could be bored during a JetBlue flight! Continue reading Interesting New JetBlue Entertainment Option
For many of us food is a big part of travel and for some, visiting ballparks can be another fun thing to do when traveling. If you like both of these things you’ll want to read on…
In recent years I’ve chosen some domestic trip destinations based on the local Major League Baseball team being in town. Continue reading Love Baseball & Food? Then This Book Is For You
