Samantha Brown Travel Channel

It’s been a while since Samantha Brown had a new Travel Channel show. When it comes to the Travel Channel, she is the person that I’d consider to be something like the face of the network.

Now she is back.

Tonight a new show starring Samantha Brown and Chris Grundy debuts called 50/50. The premise of the show is quite interesting and one that I certainly plan to watch. Continue reading New Samantha Brown Travel Channel Show Debuts Tonight

What’s Better: Donald Trump’s Plane or Air Force One?

Donald Trump Plane

It sure would be nice to own a private plane. It could definitely make things much easier when we wanted to just pick up and go somewhere.

Many rich and famous people have their own private plane (or even planes). Find out about some inĀ the post Private Jets of the Rich & Famous here. There is also a plane known as the nicest plane ever, which you can find out aboutĀ here.

In the post about Private Jets of the Rich, a plane owned by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is mentioned. The plane, a Boeing 757 cost a whopping $95,800,000. Continue reading What’s Better: Donald Trump’s Plane or Air Force One?

Target Opening In-Store Wine Bar

Target Chicago

It seems like we can get just about anything we need at Target but the food and drink offerings are what I’d consider sub-par.

I’m pretty sure that every Target has a Starbucks but I am not a coffee drinkers. They usually have small cafe areas across from Starbuks selling snacks, drinks, a few food items as well as Pizza Hut.

During desperately hungry times I’ve eaten at the Target Pizza Huts which are definitely nothing great.

Well now Target has a new idea coming to an upcoming Chicago location. Continue reading Target Opening In-Store Wine Bar

World Trade Center

Back in early 2014 I posted about a Crazy Video: Base Jumping Off 1 World Trade Center.

Months after the jumps took place, the 4 men involved turned themselves in to the police. Since then, I can’t say that I’ve given much thought to the case.

I had no clue what kind of punishment would be handed down until I came across an article from Outside Magazine. Continue reading World Trade Center Base Jumpers Sentenced To…

Strangest Law In Each US State

US stateIn early 2014 I wrote about 10 Crazy Driving Laws Around the World.

A couple of favorites were: Russia- keep your car clean and Alabama- don’t drive blindfolded!

There are definitely odd laws all around the world that we need to be careful of violating while visiting a new country. For instance, during our recent (and upcoming) visit to the UAE, I need to be extra careful not to curse while texting. Luckily, there isn’t really much for me to worry about since I don’t text while using my phone in foreign counties.

Well what about odd laws at home in the good old USA? Continue reading Strangest Law In Each US State

Review the Government on Yelp

YelpThese days we can review just about anything online.

TripAdvisor is where most go for hotel reviews, Yelp is probably tops for dining out as well as bars. When I want to find out the review of a product, I’ll usually keep it simple and see what people are saying about the item on Amazon.

Kim sent me an article about a categoy you can review which will now be able to send responses. Continue reading Review the Government on Yelp

Yellowstone Grizzly That Killed Hiker Put Down

a bear walking on dirt
Not the bear that was put down

Yesterday I wrote about an interesting question about bear attacks in the wild.

The post was written due to the recent tragic death of a hiker killed by a grizzly bear in Yellowstone National Park last week. It was stated that deadly encounters between bears and humans in the park was rare.

After a bear and her cubs were caught close to where the man’s remains were found, (depending on DNA tests) the bear would be put down if it was the one that killed the man.

Is it fair that a bear living in its own habitat, the wild is being held responsible for acting like a wild bear? Well that depends. Continue reading Yellowstone Grizzly That Killed Hiker Put Down
