Happy Birthday Theo, 5 Years Old- 40 Countries Visited!

Happy BirthdayOn the last full day of our month-long trip around the Balkans, we wished Theo a very Happy Birthday!

Theo got to celebrate his 5th birthday in Croatia! And while he didn’t get as cool of a party as he did when he turned 2 in India (thanks Hyatt!), we did get to celebrate.

Happy Birthday Theo, 2 Years Old- 22 Countries Visited!

I want to wish my little man Theo a very Happy Birthday in the online world! (We told him many times on his actual birthday!)

Over the summer, the Michael W Travels family headed off on a month- long trip to six former- Soviet states.

It’s amazing how fast time flies.

Today is a very special day over here at Michael W Travels. My not-so-little man, Lucas turns 5 years old! We started off the festivities with a party in Lucas’s school and we’ll follow up with a dinner or two out before we have his real party over the weekend!

Lucas changed our world in so many amazing ways. He is a proud big brother, fun, loving, friendly & happy kid and a true world traveler. He’s also one of the most calm and smooth flyers I know. 30 Countries Before 4: Happy BDay Lucas- The Most Traveled Child!

Today is a very important day for us over at Michael W Travels headquarters.

Our favorite little guy, Lucas Miles is celebrating his 4th birthday! There’s been lots of celebrating so far. Friday we had a little party in school and yesterday was his big party with a Thomas the Train and cupcake baking theme! Tonight, we’ll take Lucas out to end the festivities.

Lucas is really an amazing little boy. He’s quite curious and loves to fly and explore more than ever. During trips he’s enjoyed learning a few local words which brings a smile to all. He learned how to say hello and thank you in Myanmar and during our recent trip to Cuba, he picked up a bunch of words in Spanish. This past Sunday was a big day around here at the Michael W Travels Headquarters.

While I’m not big on celebrating birthdays, it was a big deal for the #1 little guy in my life. Lucas Miles W. turned 3 over the weekend and we had 3 days of celebration!

Lucas has really grown a lot in the past year. He is still just about as friendly as ever and is doing great in school. (We got a glowing report about him after his birthday party!) Today is a very special day for the Michael W Travels family.

Our little man Lucas Miles turns 2 years old today and I want to wish him an extra special Happy Birthday! (Check out my post about Lucas’ 1st birthday here.)

Lucas is an amazingly friendly and happy little boy. He brings a smile to the face of most that meet him. He’s brought an unmeasurable amount of happiness to Kim and I over the last 2 years!

While we all love to brag about our kids, this is a blog about travel so today I want to reflect on Lucas’ 2 years of travel (and as a lap baby). Since he is now 2, Lucas has taken his last flight without needing his own ticket/ seat.

Happy Birthday To You Plaque- Louisville, KY

On Day 1 of our trip to Louisville & Nashville I had mentioned that we visited a few quirky sites like the Happy Birthday To You Plaque. I had read about the plaque online and didn’t just happen to come across it.

We had read that the plaque was located under the entrance ramp to I-64 so we decided to wander around and look for it. The entrance ramp description was a bit confusing. Happy 1st Birthday to Lucas Miles

Last March I wrote about A New Kind of Miles. However, I wasn’t talking about airlines miles. I wanted to introduce my son Lucas Miles.

January 11 was a very special day at the Michael W Travels home. We were celebrating the first birthday of our amazing little boy Lucas. He has brought a ton of joy and happiness to Kim & I. Things will never be the same for us, they have only gotten better!
Watching Lucas grow and change over the year has been really incredible!
