A Game For (Lufthansa) Duck Lovers?

a machine with a few objects

Yesterday I reviewed Diggerland, a really fun and unique construction theme park.

While at the park, Lucas wandered through the small arcade area a few times. We didn’t play any of the games but for him pushing the buttons and looking at them was as fun as could be.

While we walked around the arcade there was one of those claw-game machines that caught my eye due to it offering a variety of interesting prizes. Continue reading A Game For (Lufthansa) Duck Lovers?

Own A Town In the U.S. For $1,500,000

Back in March I wrote about a very special real estate opportunity.

A European town was available for free. While this might sound like a really interesting and great deal my guess is that this free town would cost quite a bit of money to fix up and maintain.

What if you’d like to own a town but stay a little closer to home? Continue reading Own A Town In the U.S. For $1,500,000

United Adventure Bear Program, Help A Child In Need

a child holding a teddy bearI received an e-mail from United about this program a while back and totally forgot to write about it.  With the offer expiring at the end of the month, there is still some time left to help.

United is looking to help children in need but they also could use some help from us. With the United Adventure Bear Program, the airline’s mission is “to bring smiles to children in need across the globe”. Continue reading United Adventure Bear Program, Help A Child In Need

What makes a vacation one that you would consider the best ever? Is it seeing lots of new sites, discovering great new food, making new friends or maybe its just lying around and unwinding for a bit?

For Thomas Mistele the answer would be none of the above. While on vacation in Rhode Island he had the best vacation ever due to winning the lottery to the tune of Continue reading 1,000,000 Reasons Why This Guy Had The Best Vacation EVER

A billionaire venture capitalist came up with an idea to divide California up into 6 states.

Timothy Draper says that he’s gotten enough signatures to add the proposal to get it on the ballot in 2 years. (As of yesterday the campaign says it has collected 808,000 signatures.)

After reading a little into this, I wondered what the motive to divide the state was.  Continue reading Will 1 U.S. State Get Chopped Into 6?

The Most Exclusive Credit Card

A few days back Kim sent me an article about one of the most exclusive cards. It’s only available in NYC and I can’t say that I’d heard about it until now.

The Magnises Card was founded by Billy McFarland, a 22-year-old college dropout.

McFarland had his first startup at 13 and launched a content-sharing site after dropping out of Bucknell during his freshmen year, making this card his third venture. Continue reading The Most Exclusive Credit Card

Yesteday was a very important day for America, July 4 the birth of our nation. Earlier in the week it was Canada Day, a day that celebrates their birthday.

Canadian beer company Molson came up with a fun idea to celebrate Canada Day.

They thought it would be fun to place red beer fridges with a white maple leaf on them in public places. However, there was a little twist. The only way to get the fridge to open was by singing the Canadian national anthem, O’Canada. Continue reading Funny Video- Sing For A Beer?

Places That Want You To Kill Exotic Animals

a wild boar in a grassy area

A couple of weeks back I heard about the poaching of the  world’s largest elephant in Kenya and it angered me so much.

Now I don’t consider myself one of those activists like in Greenpeace or Sea Shepherd, but I do believe (to some degree) in their causes.

Some of you may know that my family and I are animal lovers and over the years Kim and I have had many amazing animal experiences, mostly during our travels. I’m not going to mention them again but you can find out my top 5 experiences here. Continue reading Places That Want You To Kill Exotic Animals

This Angers Me So Much

Even though Kim & I don’t  have any pets, we still love animals. Growing up, my family had a dog until I was around 7 or 8 years old. I know that pets can be a lot of work and I can’t say that I’d really want to have that kind of responsibility now.

However, over the years we’ve had many unforgettable animal experiences while traveling around the US and the world.
