Most Dangerous Foods That Can Kill You

Most Dangerous Foods
Hakarl- image: CNTraveler

While most would consider me to be a pretty picky eater (I don’t eat most fruits and vegetables) I’d still consider myself an adventurous eater, well at least when it comes to  travel.

One of the great things about travel is that it takes you out of your comfort zone and opens your mind to new things. Why else would I have tried guinea pig, fat ass ants or mud? Yes mud- that was in Peru! Continue reading Most Dangerous Foods That Can Kill You

Over the past few months there have been some details about what we should expect at the market which you can read about on Eater here.

One of the most important details about the market has been a big unknown all along- where will the market be located??? Continue reading Location of Anthony Bourdain’s NYC Market Revealed!

A Burger Masterpiece: Husk- Charleston

Husk Charleston
Husk Restaurant

While planning our trip to Charleston there was one restaurant that I knew I had to try, especially since it is known for one of my favorite foods (among other things on the menu).

I first came across Husk on one of those top/ best burger lists that seem to frequently pop up. It’s also been featured on a bunch of TV shows.

(Since visiting Charleston, Husk also appeared on a list of The 21 Essential Hamburgers of America.) Continue reading A Burger Masterpiece: Husk- Charleston

A Visit to the Waffle House Museum

Waffle House Museum

At the end of April I headed to Atlanta for some frequent-traveler related events. The main reason for the visit was to attend the Freddie Awards. I also had a couple of other related events on the agenda with the more interesting one being the Delta Jet Drag.

Prior to heading off to Atlanta, I was surprised to get great customer service from United. However, I did find their text messaging service to be a waste of time.

Whenever I head off on a trip, regardless of the main purpose, I have to do some research to find out what else the area might have to offer. Since I had been to Atlanta just shy of a year before, I had some ideas… Continue reading A Visit to the Waffle House Museum

Shake Shack Offering $2 Shakes For A Great Cause

Shake Shack

I’m excited to see that Shake Shack’s 4th annual Great American Shake Sale is back for the month of May.

Not only does Shake Shack make awesome burgers, hot dogs, fries and shakes, they also like to give back. They’re trying to do their part to help end childhood hunger in America by offering a free shake to those that donate $2 (or more) to No Kid Hungry. Act Fast: $20 Off When Paying with OpenTable App

OpenTable App

In the middle of April I wrote about a way to get $20 off of your bill when paying with the OpenTable App.

This deal seemed like a no-brainer but Pay with OpenTable ended up being a real pain. The app kept crashing on my phone and I couldn’t ever view my bill through it. After a few calls, I was told by OpenTable that they would apply the coupon code and I’d also hear back from them to follow up. The rep also said that they would do something for me due to all of my troubles… Continue reading Act Fast: $20 Off When Paying with OpenTable App

MLB Baseball Stadiums

When it comes to sports, baseball is my clear-cut favorite. I’m loyal through good and bad to my favorite team, the New York Mets.

I try to go to a few games every year. Even if the team isn’t doing well, I know that I’ll be visiting a beautiful stadium that has some awesome food options.

Each year l try to visit stadiums of teams that I haven’t been to before. Some of the stadiums have also been great places to try out some tasty food options. Continue reading MLB Baseball Stadiums Ranked By Food

Best Burgers in America

I’ve written quite a few times in the past about my love for burgers.

While my favorite food would still probably be pizza, burgers have definitely caught up and come in just behind as my other favorite.

Check out some of my burger-related posts:

Since I’m always in search of great burgers (I recently tried a new one at Brooklyn’s Reynard which was really good), I was happy to come across a very interesting article from Eater. Continue reading 21 Must-Eat & Best Burgers In America

Pay With OpenTable Was A Real Pain + Couple Days Left for $20 Off

OpenTable App

Earlier in the week I wrote about a new option to pay for your dines through the OpenTable app.

The main reason I wrote about this new option was due to an offer (which is still available until April 20) where you could get $20 off your bill for making a reservation and then paying through the app.

Yesterday, Kim, Lucas and I went to a restaurant in NYC to give the app a try (and obviously save $20 on our meal) and boy was it a disaster! Continue reading Pay With OpenTable Was A Real Pain + Couple Days Left for $20 Off
