At the end of June, the Michael W Travels family headed off to El Salvador.

Back in early June, I wrote how Lucali, one of the top-rated pizzeria’s in the country was opening a slice shop called Baby Luc’s.

Brooklyn’s pizza shop Lucali ranks at the top of the best pizzerias in America on just about every list each year.

Last week, Eater NY wrote an article about how “The Humble NY Slice Is Helping NYC Restaurants Stay Afloat“.
We’ve tried a few of the pizzas mentioned in the article, enjoying tasty pies from Washington Squares, Black Seed Pizza and Michelin-starrted Momofuku Ko. (We’ve been the latter twice, one time doing takeout, the other time dining in, well sitting outside.)

L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele, a famous pizzeria from Naples, Italy will be expanding with a new location in NYC in late 2021.

David Chang’s Momofuku Ko, located in NYC’s East Village, has held two Michelin stars since 2009.
When I heard that they were offering pizza, it immediately became a must-try on my list. When most people think of pizza destinations, I think it’s fair to say that New York and Italy primarily come to mind.
