It’s probably safe to say that most of you don’t look forward to airplane food.

I usually find the food to be decent enough to eat but it’s definitely not better than most sub-par food found at any given restaurant. While the Michael W Travels family primarily flies in coach, we’ve also flown our share of flights in premium cabins. I’ve also found most of those meals to be average at best. Why Does American Airlines Serve A Meal On Some Flights?

american airlinesThe Michael W Travels family recently returned from a trip to Costa Rica.

Some background about our flights:

We flew roundtrip on American Airlines. Our flights were a bit inconvenient. We had to make a stop and spend a night in Dallas before getting to Costa Rica and in Philadelphia before returning home.

During our journey, I noticed something that didn’t really make much sense. Maybe one of you have an idea… Continue reading Why Does American Airlines Serve A Meal On Some Flights?

Impressive Airport Pizza by Wolfgang Puck at CUN

Wolfgang Puck

In July 2016 Lucas and I headed to Cancun, Mexico for our first summer trip.

It was a destination I wouldn’t have selected, however you can’t be overly picky when you win a trip online!

On our way home, Lucas and I were hungry. While wandering around the airport, I was really impressed by how new the terminal was. There were also a variety of dining options but one stood out that I had to try.

The Marketplace By Wolfgang Puck offers a variety of options but when I saw them making pizzas to order, I had to try one out. Continue reading Impressive Airport Pizza by Wolfgang Puck at CUN

And what’s better than Chick-fil-A??? Well it’s got to be FREE Chick-fil-A!  Continue reading Hot Deal: Dress Like A Cow, Get FREE Chick-fil-A

Woman Suing Tortas Frontera ORD for Margarita Injury

Tortas Frontera

Tortas Frontera by Rick Bayless (at O’Hare Airport in Chicago) is consistently rated as one of the top airport restaurants. Check out an article about US airports ranked by food.

While many know that Tortas Frontera serves delicious food, can it be dangerous to dine there? Probably not likely.

One woman is suing, due to an injury she claims to have received at one of the restaurant’s airport locations. Continue reading Woman Suing Tortas Frontera ORD for Margarita Injury

Ballpark Food

For many of us food is a big part of travel and for some, visiting ballparks can be another fun thing to do when traveling. If you like both of these things you’ll want to read on…

Do you think that there is a correlation between what you eat prior to a flight and getting sick while on the plane?

I wouldn’t think that this would matter much at all but Outside Magazine thinks differently.

Outside Magazine came up with an interesting article, A Frequent Flier’s Guide To Airport Eating. Continue reading Frequent Flier’s Guide To Airport Eating

From a previous post:

For those of you that don’t know, Seamless is an online service that claims to be “the easiest way to order food for delivery or takeout”. They offer food from 12,000+ restaurants in 40 cities.

Kim and I have used Seamless a few times and found it to be a reliable service. In our neighborhood in Brooklyn there aren’t a lot of good restaurants available on the site or we would probably use it more frequently.
