I am not sure that many will be flying over this Thanksgiving holidays, but if you do, you should know which foods can and can not fly.
Besides food purchased past security, I haven’t been brought many other consumable items to the airport. Continue reading Thanksgiving Foods That Can Come Through Security At The Airport
For quite some time I’ve mentioned that Shake Shake was my favorite fast- casual burger shop.
Back in 2011, I went to the grand opening of the first Shack in Brooklyn. Recently, I shared a super- proud dad moment thanks to Shake Shack!
Food at airports used to be pretty underwhelming but it’s been improving in recent years. Continue reading Shake Shack Opens Two More Airport Locations!
The former governor of Mississippi, Haley Barbour was arrested at Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport in early January.

When you make a trip to Denver Airport there could be a new attraction to see on the drive in.
There’s a “plan to allow bison from the Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Refuge to roam on over 200 acres of land belonging to the airport“, according to Fox News. Continue reading Bison Will Roam At Denver Airport
While waiting for a flight, it’s always nice to have access to an airport lounge.
During our 5 Weeks in the Pacific, the Michael W Travels family made many visits to the Fiji Airways Tabua Lounge in Nadi, Fiji. It was awesome to have free WiFi, drinks, decent food and a comfy place to relax. (Too bad we had to visit a temporary lounge while the new one is being built.) In late 2015 I wrote about how soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo would be opening boutique hotels. Since then his Pestana CR7 hotels have opened in Lisbon and Funchal.
Ronaldo is such a big star in Portugal that he was given a huge honor on his home island of Madeira a couple of days back. Continue reading Airport Named After Soccer Star Cristiano Ronaldo
A couple of weekends back the Michael W Travels family visited Buffalo, NY.
On the way home Kim noticed a cute friendly dog playing with another family. Lucas really loves dogs so Kim suggested that he go over and ask to pet the dog.
This turned out to be a simple request considering the dog was walking around the airport with its owner as part of the Paws for Love program! Continue reading Meeting A Paws For Life Therapy Dog at BUF Airport
The Michael W Travels family recently got back from an awesome little trip to Ireland.
While Dublin is usually a quick flight from NYC, we flew on connecting flights each way. A small inconvenience is worth it to save on the cost of a flight, if you ask me…
During our travels we got to visit a Priority Pass lounge in three airports. Two of the lounges were solid offering food, snacks, drinks and a place to relax.
The other Priority Pass lounge was quite different and possibly the most interesting one that I’ve ever visited. Continue reading The Most Interesting Priority Pass Lounge I’ve Visited
It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood and one local man recently started a petition through Change.org, to change the name of Pittsburgh Airport.
For those of you not so familiar with the line “It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood”, it’s from the children’s TV show Mister Rogers Neighborhood.
The show was created by Fred Rogers. He starred in it for over 30 years. When I think of the show, the famous red sweater (shown above) comes to mind. Continue reading Petition Created to Rename Pittsburgh Airport After Mister Rogers
In mid-November there was an offer sent out to get free Uber Rides from various airports.
The offer was a holiday gift from American Express good for up to two rides, up to $65 each. When the offer was sent out, I had a hard time adding it to my Uber account but it got worked out. Continue reading Reminder: Free Uber Rides from Airports, Up To $65 Each
