Uncontrollable Crying Baby, Flight Attendant To The Rescue!

There’s been much debate about kids flying on planes.

Should there be family sections? Should kids be banned from premium cabins? Are parents doing enough to stop that kid from kicking the seat? Are parents trying there best to stop a baby from crying?

Sometimes a parent can try as hard as possible, but they just can’t get their baby to stop crying.  Continue reading Uncontrollable Crying Baby, Flight Attendant To The Rescue!

Rideshare Service Juno Available at NYC Airports!

Juno

Last week I received an e-mail from rideshare service Juno which announced that they were now available at NYC airports.

While I’ve never used them, I had heard good things about the company and that their prices were cheaper than rivals like Uber and Lyft.

Competition is usually a good thing so I figured that having another rideshare at JFK and LGA could only help to bring down the cost of a ride home from the airport. Continue reading Rideshare Service Juno Available at NYC Airports!

Bonus United & JetBlue Miles, David Beckham Pissed Off HK, Visit the Titanic, Ronaldo Airport, Win A JetBlue Vacation, & More- The Rehash!

The Rehash!

Next weekend we’re off to Asia for our next family adventure over Spring Break.

We’re still putting the finishing touches on our plans but it’s just about done. I was glad that adding Theo as a lap baby went smoothly (we booked the flight before he was born). We won’t have any need to lawyer up this time

I closed one card this week and am finishing up the minimum spend on my newest credit card. I’m debating about what card I should apply for next. Is Rideshare Service Juno Now Available at NYC Airports?

Juno

Rideshare services like Uber have definitely disrupted the transportation industry. They’ve proven to be quite popular, giving users the ability to request a ride with a few clicks on their phone while also getting better prices than taxis.

There are a bunch of rideshare services out there. I’ve only used Uber and Lyft but I’ve heard good things about Juno (from an Uber driver!) a while back. Continue reading Is Rideshare Service Juno Now Available at NYC Airports?

Airport Named After Soccer Star Cristiano Ronaldo

In late 2015 I wrote about how soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo would be opening boutique hotels. Since then his Pestana CR7 hotels have opened in Lisbon and Funchal.

Ronaldo is such a big star in Portugal that he was given a huge honor on his home island of Madeira a couple of days back. Continue reading Airport Named After Soccer Star Cristiano Ronaldo

Yesterday I visited three Staples stores in hopes of finding Hotels.com gift cards. There’s currently a nice promo where you can buy Hotels.com GCs at a 20% discount– $50 cards are selling for $40!

The third time was the charm! I finally found some Hotels.com gift cards. I ended up buying $300 worth for $240. Sounds like a deal to me. (I’m now debating whether or not I want to buy more before the offer expires.) Lawyer Up! My Fight Against Explore Trip for Theo’s Lap Baby Ticket

explore trip

At the beginning of March I wrote about how Theo’s coach lap baby ticket to Ireland cost $350+. (Check out my Ireland trip planning post here.)

Had OTA Explore Trip called British Airways to book Theo’s lap baby ticket on one of the occasions that I called, the taxes/ fees would’ve been a lot cheaper. Continue reading Lawyer Up! My Fight Against Explore Trip for Theo’s Lap Baby Ticket

The Happiest Countries in the World Are…

happiest countriesWhen looking into traveling to new places have you ever thought about what the happiest countries in the world might be? If you answered no, well neither have I.

I like to think that I’ve traveled my fair share, although definitely not enough! Some places have stood out as being happy or maybe just friendlier. If I had to pick one destination that would be at the top of my list, I’d go with Bali, Indonesia.

Today, March 20 is the International Day of Happiness according to T+L. Continue reading The Happiest Countries in the World Are…

It’s been a productive week for us here at Michael W Travels.

Kim and I were able to use our IHG Anniversary Free Nights for our upcoming Asia trip. The nice thing is that I’ll have another free night coming my way in May.

My new Citi American Airlines Business card arrived and I’m working on hitting the minimum spend. I’m hoping to find another solid offer soon after I earn the 50,000 miles bonus. It’s tough to find new cards to apply for with all of the rules these days… Continue reading Summer Travel Deals, Win A Stay at Guinness Storehouse, $166K Left in Overhead, Amazing Race, Theo’s 6 Month Travel Update & More- The Rehash

Airfare Deal Site, Please Don’t Mislead On Summer Travel

summer travel

I really appreciate sites that seek out, find and share great airfare deals.

Years back, the main site I found deals from was Airfare Watchdog through their Twitter account. Over the past bunch of years most would agree that the king of airfare deal sites would be The Flight Deal.

More recently, Secret Flying and Airfare Spot have shared deals. Continue reading Airfare Deal Site, Please Don’t Mislead On Summer Travel
