Hot Deal: $10 Off Dine with OpenTable App

OpenTable app

Since OpenTable rolled out a payment feature within the app, they’ve tried to entice us to try it out by offering free money towards a dine. Well they’re doing it again, just offering a bit less free money this time around…

When you pay through the OpenTable app, you first make a reservation at a participating restaurant. When you’re ready to order, let the waiter know that you’d like to pay through the app and you should be able to see your bill in real-time.  Continue reading Hot Deal: $10 Off Dine with OpenTable App

Top 10 Pizza Restaurants in US?

TripAdvisor
Julianna’s Pizza- Brooklyn, NY

When I saw that TripAdvisor came up with a list of Top 10 Pizza Restaurants in the U.S., I was definitely curious to find out which places made the cut (as well as also find out just how many I’ve visited).

Living in New York City, specifically Brooklyn, we can probably go to a different pizzeria each week without repeating any places that we’ve been to previously.

With that said, on many best pizza lists, one particular place in Brooklyn usually comes in at the top spot- DiFara, located on Avenue J in the Midwood section. Continue reading Top 10 Pizza Restaurants in US?

McDonald’s Nicaragua Impresses

McDonald's Nicaragua

One of the things that I have to do when visiting a new country is stop by McDonald’s. You’re probably wondering why. Well, I love checking to see if there are any locally-inspired menu items available.

While I rarely ever visit McD’s at home, I look forward to this visit during our trips! Yeah I know, you need to try the local food to really get a feel for a country. Well yes we do that too…

During our recent trip to Nicaragua, we didn’t come across a McDonald’s until close to the end of our visit. And it happened to be directly across the street from our hotel in Managua! Continue reading McDonald’s Nicaragua Impresses

Classic Burgers at the All-American Driver-In

All American Drive In

It’s definitely no secret that burgers are one of my favorite foods.

I recently wrote about Eater’s 21 Must-East & Best Burgers in America.

At the time of writing, I had tried burgers at 7 of the places that made the list. With the most recent one being at The General Muir.

There was one place, not too far from home which I’d been wanting to try for quite some time, the All American Drive-In. Continue reading Classic Burgers at the All-American Driver-In

A Delicious Award Winning Burger & More at VB3- Jersey City, NJ

VB3 Jersey City

I was recently invited to VB3 Restaurant for a tasting in Jersey City, NJ.

My initial reaction was most likely going to be a no thank you since I rarely make special trips to New Jersey but then I read a bit more about the chef and had to take VB3 up on the offer.

Chef Michael Colletti runs VB3 Restaurant & Bar with his family.

When I read that Chef Colletti had a burger on the menu at VB3 which had back to back victories at the Food Network’s 2009 Food & Wine Festival “Rachel Ray Burger Bash” in Miami & NY, I had to stop in to give it a try (along with some other items from the menu!). $5 off $25 at NYC Restaurants with Amex

NYC Restaurant Week

NYC Restaurant Week will be starting on Monday, July 20 and will go until August 14.

During the promotion, you can get 3 course lunches for $25 and dinners for $38. This really isn’t so cheap (add in tax & tip etc.) but if you choose restaurants which are very expensive then you might find yourself a great deal.

The last time I could recall taking part in Restaurant Week, Kim and I had an amazing meal at Tom Colucchio’s Riverpark. Continue reading $5 off $25 at NYC Restaurants with Amex

Daily Meal’s 101 Best Burgers in America

The Daily Meal

I love coming across lists of best burgers to get ideas of new places to try out while at home and visiting new places around the US.

Back in April, I wrote about 21 Must Eat & Best Burgers in America. From this list, I’ve now tried out burgers at 8 of them. Last summer I wrote about Yahoo’s picks for top burgers in America. From this list I’ve been to 3 of the 10 places listed.

In early June, The Daily Meal sent me an e-mail with their slideshow featuring The 101 Best Burgers In America. Continue reading Daily Meal’s 101 Best Burgers in America

Food Review: ChickenShack, Shake Shack’s New Chicken Sandwich

ChickenShack

Yesterday I came across some big news regarding my favorite burger chain- Shake Shack.

Shake Shack, famous mainly for its burgers and shakes had released its first ever fried chicken sandwich, the ChickenShack for a limited time (throughout the summer?) at their three Brooklyn locations.

Being the Shake Shack obsessive fan that I am, I knew where Kim, Lucas and I were heading for dinner. The only debate we had was which Shack location to visit…

ChickenShacks it would be. Continue reading Food Review: ChickenShack, Shake Shack’s New Chicken Sandwich

A Deli-cious Burger at The General Muir

The General Muir

At the end of April I headed to Atlanta to attend the Freddie Awards which took place at the amazing Delta Flight Museum. During my visit I also took part in a couple of other frequent flyer events including the Delta Jet Drag.

Prior to heading to Atlanta I had come across a restaurant that I had to check out. Thanks to an article from Eater I found out about 21 Must Eat & Best Burgers in America. Considering burgers are one of my favorite foods, I had to get to a place in Atlanta which made the list. Continue reading A Deli-cious Burger at The General Muir

Shake Shack: FREE Custard for Dads for Father’s Day!

Fathers Day

It’s no secret that my favorite burger chain, heck one of my favorite overall burgers is from Shake Shack!

I’m proud to say that I’ve visited just about every Shack in New York City. (The only one that I haven’t had a chance to visit is in Grand Central Terminal.)

Check out a few posts I’ve written about Shake Shack:
