A couple of days back I came across a deal (mistake?) posted by One Mile At A Time. The Hilton Cabo San Lucas was offering rooms for an overly ridiculous low price of 279 points per night.

I quickly logged in to my Hilton HHonors account and booked a random weekend towards the end of September for 3 nights.

Before everyone had the internet at their fingertips at (just about) any given time due to smartphones, many people turned to guides like Zagat to read reviews about restaurants.

While Zagat has gone online and isn’t just a physical guide, my guess would be that more people turn to sites like Yelp for restaurant reviews and suggestions.

NYC or Boston To Dubai- $1,297 for 2 On Emirates

I received a newsflash e-mail from Travelzoo this afternoon about a very nice deal to Dubai from New York’s JFK for just $1,299 all-in for two!

While this sounds like a really solid deal, it’s not one that I am considering due to a flight that I booked during the best flight connection ever.

IHG Rewards ClubA short while ago, Kim, Lucas and I checked into the Holiday Inn Express Charleston Downtown- Ashley River.

Upon pulling up, the hotel seemed nice enough as did the lobby. There were a couple of people online waiting to check-in before it was our turn.
