When I first got the US Bank Altitude Reserve card, I planned to cancel it after the first year.
With a $400 annual fee, it sounds like a pretty expensive card to keep. However, a $325 annual credit on travel expenses offsets the fee making more like a $75 per year card.
I like the perks that the card offers, especially earning 3X points on Mobile Wallet purchases so I’ve stuck with the card. Continue reading Earn Up to $90 In Statement Credits With US Bank Altitude Reserve Card
When the $89 annual fee posted for my Barclay Arrival Plus card, I called in to see if any retention offers were available.
A couple of years back, I struck out trying to get the fee removed and was only offered a downgrade to a no fee card. Continue reading Did I Get A Retention Offer For The Barclay Arrival Plus Card
Yesterday I wrote about how it was strange that neither of my American Express cards had any Amex Offers.
Using the live chat feature didn’t give me any answers other than to call a customer care number for support (which I’ve yet to do).
After posting about my Amex Offers issue Continue reading Problem Solved! I Have 100 Amex Offers For Each Of My Cards
A couple of days back I logged onto American Express to pay my bills. While on the site, I scrolled towards the bottom of the screen to see which Amex Offers might be available.
When I got to the section where the Amex Offers are shown, I was surprised to see the image above for both of my accounts! Continue reading Strange! Why Don’t My Accounts Have Any Amex Offers?
A couple of days back I received an e-mail from Marriott Bonvoy with some good news.
The subject of the message was, “Enjoy your Free Night Award.”
Since using my Free Night Award valued at up to 25,000 Marriott Bonvoy points, I didn’t think much about when my new night would become available. Continue reading A Marriott Bonvoy E-Mail I Was Happy To See
A couple of years back Kim and I got the Hyatt credit card. At the time, the signup bonus came with two free nights at any Hyatt property in the world.
After much thought, we used our free nights for a stay at the new Park Hyatt St Kitts. (Check out my review of our family visit to the property here.)
Besides those two free nights, the Hyatt credit card comes with one free night each year at any Category 1-4 hotel or resort on your cardmember anniversary. Continue reading What Did We Book With Our Hyatt Free Nights?
A couple of weeks back, the Michael W Travels family returned from a very nice visit to St Kitts where we stayed at the beautiful Park Hyatt.
While we like staying at nice hotels, we’d never pay for the cost of a stay at this kind of property.
Our stay was made possible thanks to the Hyatt credit card. Continue reading Have A Hyatt Credit Card? Get 10% Redeemed Points Back
Anniversary free nights from credit cards can be a bit of a pain for a couple of reasons. First of all, you want to make sure that you’re getting a better value than the cost of the annual fee.
Another issue is that they expire. Do you want to use a free night towards a trip you are planning or plan a trip around it?
I recently shared where we are staying with our IHG Anniversary Free Night. Then AwardWallet informed me that my Marriott Rewards Anniversary Free Night was expiring in less than 3 months. Continue reading Where Are We Staying With My Marriott Rewards Anniversary Free Night
Recently, the $99 annual fee posted for my Barclaycard JetBlue Mastercard.
This left me with a decision to make: pay the annual fee, close the card or call in to try to get a retention bonus. Continue reading Did I Receive A Retention Offer For The JetBlue Mastercard
I recently had to make a decision to make regarding my Barclay Arrival credit card.
With the $89 annual fee due, I had to decide whether or not to keep it or close it. Before making the call, I think my decision had already been made. Continue reading Did I Receive A Retention Offer For The Barclay Arrival Card?
