This is one of the most awful reasons I’ve ever heard of passengers being kicked off of a plane for.

A couple of sisters were on a flight with Allegiant Air. They were flying from Asheville, North Carolina to Sanford, Florida to see their father who was in hospice care. Continue reading Sisters Kicked Off Allegiant Air Flight, Miss Final Goodbye to Dying Dad

A man has been charged by the FBI for punching a flight attendant and threatening to blow up a plane, according to CBS New York.

There aren’t many details of what happened but I was surprised to not read anything about  the flight being diverted due to the incident. Continue reading Man Punches FA, Threatens To Blow Up Plane During JetBlue Flight

Delta “Bringing Humanity Back” To Flights?

Delta Airlines

Unless we’re flying in premium cabins like business or first class, it’s highly unlikley that flight attendants will know our names or much else about us. (However, flight attendants do ask you to stop doing this…)

However, Delta Airlines says that they would like to change this and “Bring humanity back“.

With the help of technology, “flight attendant tech brings personalization to the sky“. I found out about this new technology in a press release that I received from Delta and I was definitely curious to find out more… Continue reading Delta “Bringing Humanity Back” To Flights?

Flight Attendants Ask You To Stop Doing This

It isn’t easy being a flight attendant.

From making sure everyone gets seated in time for take-off, figuring out the puzzle of the overhead bins, meal-service and making sure that we’re safe, there’s definitely a lot of responsibility involved.

While the job of a FA sounds way too stressful to me in some ways, there are some things that we could all do to help make their jobs a bit easier. Continue reading Flight Attendants Ask You To Stop Doing This

JetBlue Responds To Family Booted Off Flight

jetblue

Yesterday I wrote about a family booted off a JetBlue flight.

At the time of writing, the story was based on the account of the family. The flight attendants involved and airline did not make any comments.

This certainly makes for a one-sided story and it would’ve been nice to hear the flight attendant’s version too. Continue reading JetBlue Responds To Family Booted Off Flight

Family Booted Off JetBlue Flight

A family claims to have been unfairly kicked off of a JetBlue flight earlier this week according to an article from Yahoo Parenting (which Kim sent my way).

According to what was written, it appears that the reason the family got the boot was due to questioning the flight attendants and also responding in an irritated manner.

Overall, based on what I read in the article, these things wouldn’t seem to be an appropriate reason to turn a plane back to the gate and kick a family off of a flight. Continue reading Family Booted Off JetBlue Flight

FAs Say It Isn’t Wrong To Take Amenity Kits + Vote In Poll

Amenity Kit
Got this flying in first from Tokyo-NY

In late March I asked Have You Taken An Amenity Kit When Flying In Coach? While some of you agreed with me that it was OK to do, others felt it was similar to stealing or at least wrong to do…

This led me to start a poll asking Is It Wrong To Take Amenity Kits When Flying In Coach? The poll is still open (until April 21 at midnight), so please make sure to vote if you haven’t already done so.

While reading some comments and thinking more about the topic, I thought of a great idea- why not ask a couple of flight attendants that I’m friendly with to share some insight on this topic! Continue reading FAs Say It Isn’t Wrong To Take Amenity Kits + Vote In Poll

Flight Attendants Want Air Rage Fines Raised

Could larger penalties and fines help decrease the amount of incidents involving unruly passengers aboard planes?

According to Today.com, “Flight attendants want air rage fines boosted“.

In late December, I wrote about an inflight fight over a crying baby and over the summer an unruly dad caused a JetBlue flight to be diverted. Continue reading Flight Attendants Want Air Rage Fines Raised
