Trump Plaza In Atlantic City Will Be Blown Up, Auction For Viewing Party

On February 17, 2021 the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City is set to be blown up.

The date of the implosion was announced late last week. If you’re interested in watching the event take place (I am), you “can place a bid to join a “viewing party” from nearby hotel rooms”, according to the New York Daily News. The Biggest Hotel Flop of All-Time

This might just be the biggest hotel flop ever…

The last time I visited Atlantic City, the Revel Casino was nearing completion. We drove behind the construction site on the way to a pizzeria close by. From what I could tell, the property (at least from the outside) looked pretty impressive, maybe almost like something that might belong in Las Vegas. Lucy the Elephant- Margate, New Jersey

Lucy is a quick drive from Atlantic City and designated a National Historic Landmark.

If you pay for the tour, you get to go inside by climbing up a staircase inside one of Lucy’s legs. Inside there is a small museum with various artifacts. There are also some nice panoramic views from the howdah (the canopy seat on top of the elephant)
