Visiting The High Line of Bethlehem, PA: SteelStacks Hoover-Mason Trestle

The High LineThe High Line in NYC is an almost 1.5 mile long elevated public park which was  “built on a historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side,” according to thehighline.org.

We’ve enjoyed walks along The High Line many times including one during OpenHouseNY when one section wasn’t yet open to the public.

One problem with The High Line is that it can get very busy, making visits at times not as enjoyable. Continue reading Visiting The High Line of Bethlehem, PA: SteelStacks Hoover-Mason Trestle

(Not So) Ridiculous Street Signs #31: Don’t Dump- Drains To Boston Harbor

Boston HarborOver the years, I’ve shared a variety of posts about Ridiculous Street Signs.

The signs tend to be funny, interesting or just bizarre.

While visiting Boston, I came across a sign that was literally in the street. The sign about Boston Harbor (actually a metal plaque on the sidewalk) wasn’t actually funny or ridiculous. I’d consider this small sign to be quite informative. Continue reading (Not So) Ridiculous Street Signs #31: Don’t Dump- Drains To Boston Harbor

We took the party to our apartment rental close to Dubrovnik Airport. The cake options were limited but we did manage to find the tasty cake (pictured above) at a small supermarket! Continue reading Happy Birthday Theo, 5 Years Old- 40 Countries Visited!

Visiting The Air Force Plane Wreck On Lake Suchitlan, El Salvador

El SalvadorWhile looking into things to do in El Salvador, Kim and I both agreed that Suchitoto was worthy of a full day visit.

The small, walkable town has interesting colonial architecture, brightly painted buildings and cobblestone streets.

During our visit, we decided to take a boat trip on manmade Lake Suchitlan. The lake sounded very interesting when we read there was a plane wreck which could be visited! Continue reading Visiting The Air Force Plane Wreck On Lake Suchitlan, El Salvador
