A Visit To Michelin Starred Momofuku Ko For… Pizza!

Momofuku KoDavid Chang’s Momofuku Ko, located in NYC’s East Village, has held two Michelin stars since 2009.

When I heard that they were offering pizza, it immediately became a must-try on my list. While pizza isn’t a part of the menu that Michelin recognized the restaurant for, I thought it would be fun to say that we had pizza from a Michelin starred restaurant! We Tried The New Detroit-Style Pizza At Pizza Hut!

Pizza HutSince we’ve been spending a lot more time at home during the pandemic, I picked up a new hobby.

The Michael W Travels family really loves pizza so I decided it was time to learn to try to make pizza at home! Making pizza at home is no easy task and there are a lot of skills involved. It’s been a fun and tasty journey and I’m pretty happy with how it’s progressed.

Besides making primarily NY style pies, I’ve also starting working on making Detroit Style pizza! Detroit- style pizza is made in a pan and has delicious, caramelized crispy cheese around the edge. If you haven’t tried this style, I suggest you try to find a place that offers it! Continue reading We Tried The New Detroit-Style Pizza At Pizza Hut!

Restaurants in New York City have been struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

For too long, restaurants have only been offering takeout or outdoor dining. With the winter being very cold, this is a big problem as many people aren’t interested in the adventure of sitting outside to have a meal.

Indoor dining will finally be returning to NYC starting on February 14- Valentines Day! Continue reading Save The Restaurants! NYC Indoor Dining Returns February 14!

Food Review: Limited Time Shake Shack Korean- Style Menu

Shake ShackFor quite some time, I’ve mentioned how Shake Shack is my favorite fast casual restaurant. Earlier in the month I wrote how, for a limited time they would be offering items from South Korean Shacks.

During our trip a few years back, we had a chance to dine at Shake Shack in South Korea. While the food was very good, it wasn’t much different than eating at a US location.

We recently gave the Shake Shack South Korea menu a try. Continue reading Food Review: Limited Time Shake Shack Korean- Style Menu

Limited Time: Shake Shack Offering Items From South Korea Shacks!

Shake ShackShake Shack is my favorite fast-casual burger chain out there.

From time to time they offer special menu items. The items can be offered at just a couple of locations or at all of them in the US. Last March, we enjoyed Shack Shack X Pat LaFrieda Steak Frites.

We’ve also tried Shake Shack in international destinations like the United Arab Emirates and in South Korea. (Check out my review of one of the South Korea locations here. Continue reading Limited Time: Shake Shack Offering Items From South Korea Shacks!

A Stop On The Anthony Bourdain Food Trail: Tony & Ruth’s Steaks

Anthony BourdainSince the Anthony Bourdain Food Trail officially debuted, I’ve been trying to visit the restaurants on the list.

To date, we’ve been to:

During Winter Break 2020 we were pretty limited as to where we could travel due to the pandemic. We didn’t want to quarantine once getting back to NY, so this limited us to some places close to home. Continue reading A Stop On The Anthony Bourdain Food Trail: Tony & Ruth’s Steaks
