Did I Get A Wyndham Rewards Credit Card Retention Offer?

Wyndham Rewards

The Wyndham Rewards credit card isn’t a card that I frequently use so when the annual fee posted I figured that it would be an easy decision to close the account.

It wouldn’t hurt to call in to inquire about a retention offer. However, I never really got a chance to do so.

Let me explain. Continue reading Did I Get A Wyndham Rewards Credit Card Retention Offer?

Did I Get A Chase Ink Bold Retention Offer?

Chase Ink Bold

I’ve had the Chase Ink Bold card for a few years now and it’s been one of my favorites along with the Ink Business Plus card.

I (and probably most you) love Ink cards due to the ability to earn 5X points at office supply stores and on cable/ cell phone bills.

When the $95 annual fee recently came up for my Chase Business Bold card, I had an important decision to make. Continue reading Did I Get A Chase Ink Bold Retention Offer?

Chase Mails Mistake Scare About United Explorer Card Bonus

United Explorer Card

In the middle of March I was really psyched to have Reconsideration Line Success for the Chase United Explorer card.

After receiving mailers quite a few times for a 50,000 miles bonus offer for the United Explorer card, I decided to apply. I was told that I’d get a decision within 30 days. A letter came that I was denied but I was able to call in and get approved. (Check out the link above for more details.)

I’ve since spent more than the required $2,000 spend and have been expecting the bonus miles to post pretty soon.

When I got home from work last night, I had a mailer from Chase which at first looked like a piece of junk but it actually contained some very bad news. Continue reading Chase Mails Mistake Scare About United Explorer Card Bonus

Win A Trip to 2016 Rio Olympics from United Explorer Card

2016 Rio Olympics

I recently got approved for the Chase United Explorer credit card (after calling in to the reconsideration line).

I’ll earn 55,000 bonus miles once I hit the $2,000 spend within the first three months. (The card came with a 50K offer and I will also earn an addition 5K due to adding an authorized user.

While the miles were the reason that I signed up for the card, for a limited time I can also earn entries for a chance to win a trip to the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Up To 2500 Bonus Miles w/ AAdvantage Aviator Red Card

AAdvantage Aviator Red

Around a year back those of us with US Airways credit cards became American Airlines AAdvantage Aviator Red card holders.

While I haven’t used the card much, I did hold onto it when Barclays gave me a retention offer. The bank has had some decent bonus offers from time to time plus cardmembers get perks like 10% off redeemed miles, up to 10,000 miles per year. Those were enough  reasons to keep the card with no fee.

I just received a new bonus offer where I can earn up to 2,500 AAdvantage miles. Continue reading Up To 2500 Bonus Miles w/ AAdvantage Aviator Red Card

An E-Mail I Was Happy To Receive from Barclaycard JetBlue

Barclaycard JetBlue

With 2016 being around 1/4 of the way in, it’s time to start earning some miles and points from credit cards. To date I’ve only earned 25,000 miles from the Alaska Air card.

I’ve been hoping for a big offer to come out, but there hasn’t been many credit cards to get overly excited about. I recently had reconsideration line success for the Chase United card. Continue reading An E-Mail I Was Happy To Receive from Barclaycard JetBlue

Reconsideration Line Success: Chase United Credit Card

Chase United Credit Card

The offer kept coming and I was enticed to apply for a new card from Chase but I resisted until a month back.

For quite some time I’d been receiving a mailer (or e-mail) to apply for the Chase United Credit Card. I’ve had the card in the past but I felt that it was better to wait.

Then I got the bug. With all kinds of chatter about new rules related to getting approved for Chase cards, I felt I might as well apply for the United card through one of these targeted offers. Continue reading Reconsideration Line Success: Chase United Credit Card
