During my search, I came across something that I had probably walked past many times, paying no attention to it. (An old friend of mine had lives down the block from the location.)

Just outside the Village Cigars shop in the West Village is the smallest plot of land in NYC! Continue reading A Visit To A Bizarre Attraction, The Smallest Plot Of Land In New York City

Great Deal On Clothing Arts, Makers of My Favorite Travel Pants!

clothing artsBack in 2014, I wrote a review of what I’d consider to be Possibly the best travel pants ever  by Clothing Arts.

For those of you unfamiliar with these pants, they’re known for being Pick-Pocket Proof! (For more details check out my review in the link above.)

Besides making great pants, Clothing Arts also makes shorts. Just like my rave review of their Adventure Travel Pants, I’d say that the shorts made by Clothing Arts are just as awesome… Just shorter! Continue reading Great Deal On Clothing Arts, Makers of My Favorite Travel Pants!

5.5 Hours In Monaco, One Of The Smallest Countries In The World

monacoThe Michael W Travels family visited France during winter break of 2018.

We booked our flights to Paris due to receiving $2,700 for a bump on Delta Air Lines on the way home from the previous year’s winter break trip.

Kim and I had each separately visited Paris almost 20 years ago. This trip would be our first time visiting together as well as a first visit for the kids. When I booked the flight to Paris, I had to squeeze in a visit to a new country and Monaco was the perfect option! Continue reading 5.5 Hours In Monaco, One Of The Smallest Countries In The World

6.5 Hours in Transnistria with Kids, A Country That Doesn’t Really Exist!

transnistria
I Love Tiraspol?

Over the summer, the Michael W Travels family took a month- long trip to six former Soviet states.

During the trip, I had to visit the unrecognized state of Transnistria, a “country” which claimed its independence from Moldova back in 1990 (although no UN member states recognize the claim).

Transnistria keeps its “independence” due to financial and military support (peacekeepers) from Russia. Continue reading 6.5 Hours in Transnistria with Kids, A Country That Doesn’t Really Exist!
