We booked our flights to Paris due to receiving $2,700 for a bump on Delta Air Lines on the way home from the previous year’s winter break trip.

Kim and I had each separately visited Paris almost 20 years ago. This trip would be our first time visiting together as well as a first visit for the kids. What Did We Try At McDonald’s France?

McDonalds FranceMcDonald’s isn’t a restaurant that we frequent while at home but it’s a must when we’re visiting international destinations.

We like to visit McDonald’s for a variety of reasons while traveling. I love trying out the local menu items available. The kids LOVE McD’s due to the toys. (The food is definitely secondary.) It’s also nice to eat something (relatively) familiar while away.

This Will Have Your Kid Not Wanting To Leave The Museum

museumDuring our travels, we like to visit a museum or two during the course of our trips. We try to find a museum that’s geared towards kids, but many we visit aren’t.

Art museums aren’t always the most fun for kids and it can definitely be annoying to hear questions like when are we leaving or are we almost finished constantly!

We love experiences which include animals while traveling.

In 2012, I wrote about My Top 5 Animal Encounters. It could probably use an update with A Visit to the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital being added to the list.

One day I’d love to pay a visit to see the swimming pigs in the Bahamas. Tragedy struck these special pigs a few months back. Who knows if regulations will change, stopping tourists from interacting with the pigs in the future.
