In late June I was approved for the American Express Delta Gold Business card. I’ve been working towards hitting the minimum spend required to earn the 50,000 mile bonus.

I recently had a very important decision to make with 100,000+ American Express Membership Rewards points.
The fee was due on my American Express Business Gold Rewards card. At $175 per year, we’re talking a pretty significant fee. Since I had over 100,000 Membership Rewards points in my account, I needed to decide whether or not I should pay the fee or transfer my points and close my card.

In December of 2014, the last credit card that I was approved for was the American Express Business Gold Rewards card.
The card came with a very nice signup bonus of 75,000 Amex Membership Rewards points. The annual fee was waived for the first year.

Back in November news spread about an offer to get two free Uber rides at the Amex Centurion Lounge in New York’s LaGuardia Airport. The rides have to originate at the airport and go to a destination within the five boroughs.
When we arrived at the Centurion Lounge on the way to Toronto, I asked for an Uber code. The rep at the desk said that we could only get a code when arriving at the airport from a flight and not when departing on a flight.

Over the summer I wrote about some SPG new credit card benefits which accompanied an annual fee increase. In an earlier post I had wondered if the SPG credit card changes and fee increase was worth the perks.

Over the past few years American Express created a new shopping holiday with Small Business Saturday. By offering card members free statement credits, many of us had a lot of fun doing some shopping on Amex.

When new perks were added & changes were made to the Amex SPG credit card I wondered if the $30 fee increase was worth it.
Some positive new perks were now added but I wasn’t so sure that they were things I’d actually pay for. The new benefits went live a couple of weeks back and with them came increased 30K signup offers for new members.
