Hotels.com Reward Booking Headache Ends With Great Customer Service
Hotels.com is one of our favorite sites to use to book hotel stays if we’re not booking direct or staying in a hostel or Airbnb. (*You can actually book some hostels on the site, too.)
We find Hotels.com to offer competitive prices while also offering a pretty solid rewards program. For every 10 stays you complete, a free night is earned valued at the average of the 10 nights you booked during this time. (Look at the reward as a 10% rebate.)
While booking a room over the weekend, I tried applying a reward to a booking. I headed over the the Hotels.com app and encountered some issues. (Find out why it pays to book your reward stay through the app here.) Continue reading Hotels.com Reward Booking Headache Ends With Great Customer Service
Find Out About Our Visit To Old Forge, PA- Pizza Capital of the World
When most people think of pizza destinations, I think it’s fair to say that New York and Italy primarily come to mind.
If I’m thinking about pizza around the US, the places I think of most would be New York (really Brooklyn), Chicago and Connecticut.
Around five or six years back, I heard about an area in Pennsylvania dubbing themself the Pizza Capital of the World! I had to find out for myself about the area by taking a trip to Old Forge, PA. Continue reading Find Out About Our Visit To Old Forge, PA- Pizza Capital of the World
Searching For Bobby Fischer in Iceland
When traveling to new places, I research the areas we’ll be visiting on a variety of sites to find things to see and do.
One of my favorite sites is Atlas Obscura. Atlas Obscura claims to be, “the definitive guide to the world’s hidden wonders.” I’d agree with their claim as on the site we’ve found lots of interesting and off the beaten path things to visit over the years.
During our visit to Iceland, we came across a somewhat bizarre attraction that I wanted to check out as long as it wasn’t really out of the way.
As some of you may know, Bobby Fischer is probably one of the most famous chess players in the world. Continue reading Searching For Bobby Fischer in Iceland
