Hard Rock Hotel has locations all over the world although I wouldn’t call it a big hotel brand. (They currently have 22 hotels.) However, they seem to be expanding quite a bit with a bunch of new locations in the works.

Over the past few years Club Carlson has been one of the most generous hotel rewards program.
For those of us with the Club Carlson credit card, booking award nights can bring us double the value. When booking a stay of two or more nights, the second night is free although that’s about to change in just a few days.
The stay two, get one free benefit is one of the most awesome hotel program benefits but it will be going away at the end of this month. The last day for Club Carlson credit card holders to book stays with this benefit is May 31, 2015. I called to confirm this although I’ve read that some think the benefit ends on May 28…

When staying at hotels one of the first things I do is give the room a quick inspection, also checking out the variety of amenity products in the bathroom.
If we really like the soaps and shampoos, we take the extras but I can’t say that we do this frequently. I’ll try to describe my favorite hotel soap. (I wish I could remember which hotels gives it out and what brand it is…) The soap has little bumps all over one side so it’s something like a massaging bar and it smells good too. (If any of you know which soap I am referring to, please let us know.)

The airline opened a boutique-style hotel in Orlando, Florida called The Lodge at OSC. While the hotel sounds pretty awesome, odds are that none of us will be checking it out any time soon since it’s not open to the public.

Last week we spent a couple of nights at the Radisson Blu Bucharest during our current trip Back to The Balkans.
I booked our two-night stay for a total of 38,000 Gold Points. (38,000 points is the cost for one night but thanks to the stay 1, get 1 bonus for Club Carlson credit card holders that is all we paid for our full stay.)
During check-in there were some issues which seemed to be poorly handled by the staff. Official check-in time is 3:00pm and we arrived at around 3:30. Upon check-in we were given a choice of which floor we’d like to be on and a silly question of whether we’d like a king or queen bed.
