Hard Rock Hotel has locations all over the world although I wouldn’t call it a big hotel brand. (They currently have 22 hotels.) However, they seem to be expanding quite a bit with a bunch of new locations in the works.
The first Hard Rock Hotel will be opening in Germany and it will be located in an interesting and historic location.
The Hard Rock Hotel Berlin Checkpoint Charlie will be opening in 2020 “located adjacent to the renowned Checkpoint Charlie, one of the city’s most significant tourist attractions in the Mitte district“, according to a press release.
The hotel will have 372 rooms and will be built where the Berlin Wall once stood.
The hotel will be part of a project which also includes retail, offices, residences and an exhibition space related to the history of Checkpoint Charlie and the Berlin Wall. There will be memorabilia on display as well as live music events.
Here is what I feel will be the coolest part about the hotel. An original section of the Berlin Wall will be displayed there which is currently in Orlando, Florida. I wonder if it will be displayed like the way it is at a hotel in Las Vegas.
The hotel will also have a rooftop pool & lounge, Hard Rock Cafe and Body Rock workout facility, Rock Spa and Rock Shop.
