I recently wrote about an awesome amenity where you could borrow a Canada Goose jacket at one hotel. Another hotel has a watch butler and allows for you to borrow a Shinola watch.

When visiting hotels I like to see what welcome amenities are given out at Club Carlson properties. (Many give nada these days…) Lucas loves getting pens during our hotel stays.

LL Bean Ends Lifetime Guarantee & Return Policy Due To Abuse

LL BeanLL Bean has been around for over 100 years and is known for quality and standing behind their products.

They believed in their products some much they offered a lifetime guarantee and return policy. If you bought something but changed your mind, you could bring it back. Maybe the fit never seemed right, bring it back for a refund or store credit.

A Visit to the Oldest Pizzeria in the US: Papa’s Tomato Pies

tomato piesLombardi’s claims to be the first and oldest pizzeria in America, having opened in 1905. The issue with Lombardi’s claim is that it closed in 1984 and didn’t open again until 10 years later, in a new location.

Lombardi’s does make excellent pies and I definitely recommend a visit if you’re in NYC.

Food halls and markets are quite popular around NYC and one of the oldest ones I recall visiting is Chelsea Market.

Located at 75 Ninth Avenue, Chelsea Market is a great place to grab a bite or a snack with a variety of great options. (For awesome burgers and chicken sandwiches, I recommend that you give Creamline a try.)
