Ridiculous Street Signs #24: Stairs Ahead- Flushing Meadows Park

Flushing Meadows ParkIt’s been a while since I last came across a bizarre or ridiculous street sign. I think the last time I spotted one was back in February. (From time to time, I also post signs contributed by friends and readers which can be a lot of fun!)

A Bizarre Attraction By LaGuardia Airport I Need To Visit

Upgrades to LaGuardia Airport make it a nightmare to drive to. It can also be a big pain when trying to catch a ride when you want to leave the airport.

Bigger Isn’t Always Better, The Cheeseburger at Jackson Hole- Queens, NY

jackson holeThe Michael W Travels family are big fans of burgers. Whether it be at home or when traveling, we always try to taste the best ones out there.

Living in Brooklyn, NY gives us close proximity to lots of great food and that definitely includes great burgers!

Jollibee, A Fun Food Rec from Anthony Bourdain

Anthony BourdainOver the years I’ve tried many restaurants based on recommendations from food and travel TV shows. Restaurants discovered this way can definitely be hit or miss.

A month or so back I was watching Anthony Bourdain’s Manila episode of his show, Parts Unknown which airs on CNN.

Lots of interesting food was eaten during the episode but I have to admit that I was most interested in trying out a Filipino fast food restaurant that I had heard about a few years back.

Ben’s Best Deli- Rego Park, NY

I first heard about Ben’s Best Deli in Rego Park, Queens while watching Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I don’t find that the show frequently features restaurants from the NYC area. The classic New York Kosher deli has been disappearing making it harder and harder to find a good pastrami sandwich. When I saw Ben’s on DDD, I had to go check it out since it was so close to home and I love deli!
