Besides travel, pizza and baseball are a couple of my other favorite hobbies.

Traveling doesn’t always mean getting on a plane or even driving very far. Sometimes, we go on pizza tours, visiting multiple shops in one day.  We started doing this more over the past year or so, since we had been grounded during the pandemic.

Upcoming Events at the Awesome Diggerland Construction Theme Park

Lucas was 2.5 at the time and asked on numerous to visit again. We didn’t get to go to Diggerland again until this past May and this construction theme park was even better than we remembered!

Diggerland Construction Theme Park, Even Better Than We Remember!

diggerlandIn July 2014, the Michael W Travels family visited Diggerland, an awesome construction theme park located in West Berlin, NJ.

At the time of our visit, Lucas was 2.5 years old. He was too small to drive any vehicles on his own but still had a great time. He hasn’t forgotten about Diggerland and has asked if we could visit again quite a few times.

Historic Burger Sliders at White Mana in Jersey City

I first came across the historic White Mana Diner, located in Jersey City, NJ when it made an appearance of the Food Network’s show Food Feuds.

White Mana’s home is a small, almost round building which was first used at the 1939 NY World’s Fair before it was moved to its present location in Jersey City. According to the sign outside, it’s been open in NJ since 1946. Continue reading Historic Burger Sliders at White Mana in Jersey City →

A Delicious Award Winning Burger & More at VB3- Jersey City, NJ

VB3 Jersey City

I was recently invited to VB3 Restaurant for a tasting in Jersey City, NJ.

My initial reaction was most likely going to be a no thank you since I rarely make special trips to New Jersey but then I read a bit more about the chef and had to take VB3 up on the offer.

Chef Michael Colletti runs VB3 Restaurant & Bar with his family.

When I read that Chef Colletti had a burger on the menu at VB3 which had back to back victories at the Food Network’s 2009 Food & Wine Festival “Rachel Ray Burger Bash” in Miami & NY, I had to stop in to give it a try (along with some other items from the menu!).
