Anthony BourdainWhile doing some research related to places to dine in Barcelona, I came across Pinotxo bar (Pinocchio) thanks to Travel Channel.

Travel Channel listed Pinotxo Bar as a favorite of Anthony Bourdain so I immediately added it to my list. (We attempted to go to one other restaurant which made the list but failed…)

25 Hours In Andorra!

andorraOver President’s Week break the Michael W Travels family headed to Barcelona.

Barcelona was the first European city I visited (around 20 years back) but it was the first visit  for the rest of my family. It’s fun to revisit places I’ve been but I still like to squeeze in a new destination, too.

Generator Hostel Barcelona, A Solid Family-Friendly Option!

Generator HostelAfter flying to Barcelona at one of the worst times, we ran into a problem when Hotels.com screwed up our hotel reservation.

When we got to our hotel, they claimed to not have any booking from Hotels.com for us. Due to this they only had a room available for the first night. We had a reservation at Generator Hostel for the last two days of our trip so I figured that we’d just try to book a room there for our first two.

Possibly The Worst Time To Fly To Europe

Last weekend, the Michael W Travels family headed off on our first trip of 2019 (over President’s Week break).

We headed to a destination which was the first city I ever visited in Europe- Barcelona. We also included a visit to Andorra, a first for all of us.

Barcelona Supposedly Has Some Big Tourist Problems

Barcelona holds a special place in my heart since it was the first city in Europe I visited. After that trip, I couldn’t wait to travel and see more of the world.
