LAST CALL: Enter to Win An Etihad Business Class Amenity Kit

Etihad Business Class

Earlier in the week I posted a contest where one lucky winner will win an Etihad Business Class amenity kit from Michael W Travels!

I acquired the kit during my trip to the Middle East Gulf States over the summer of 2015. We didn’t fly in business class and you can find out how I got the kit in the link below (and let us know your thoughts on the topic.) American Airlines Giving Away Set of Heritage Amenity Kits

Back in February I wrote about American Air honoring its past with new amenity kits.

I came across the kits in an issue of AA’s inflight magazine, American Way on a flight home from Orlando.

The kits, called #OurHeritage honor the airline’s past by taking their designs from their nine legacy carriers. I was hoping to get one of these kits but haven’t had any Business or First Class flights with AA since the kits came out. Continue reading American Airlines Giving Away Set of Heritage Amenity Kits

Poll Results: Is It Wrong To Take Amenity Kits

Amenity Kit

A few weeks back I wrote a post asking: Have you taken an amenity kit when flying in coach?

The question brought a mixed response. I mentioned how I do take kits at times when exiting the plane… Some said that taking a kit was wrong, much like stealing while others saw it as no big deal and something they would or have done.

Since there seemed to be a bit of a debate about taking the kits, I decided to run a poll to find out how more of you felt about this topic. Continue reading Poll Results: Is It Wrong To Take Amenity Kits

In late March I asked Have You Taken An Amenity Kit When Flying In Coach? While some of you agreed with me that it was OK to do, others felt it was similar to stealing or at least wrong to do…

This led me to start a poll asking Is It Wrong To Take Amenity Kits When Flying In Coach? The poll is still open (until April 21 at midnight), so please make sure to vote if you haven’t already done so.

While reading some comments and thinking more about the topic, I thought of a great idea- why not ask a couple of flight attendants that I’m friendly with to share some insight on this topic! Continue reading FAs Say It Isn’t Wrong To Take Amenity Kits + Vote In Poll

Poll: Is It Wrong To Take Amenity Kits When Flying In Coach

A couple of weeks back I wrote a post asking, Have You Taken An Amenity Kit When Flying Coach?

In the past (on a few occasions), I’ve taken a kit while exiting the plane so no, I don’t think it’s wrong.

In the post I mentioned that “I consider that what I did was actually help them (flight attendants) clean up the aircraft. The kits were opened and not useable anymore so why would it matter if I took something that would most likely go in the garbage!” Continue reading Poll: Is It Wrong To Take Amenity Kits When Flying In Coach

Have You Taken An Amenity Kit When Flying Coach?

amenity kit

When flying upfront in premium cabins like First or Business Class I’ve always found it exciting to see what the amenity kit will look like.

Last month I wrote about the most awesome airline amenity kits.

During flights we’ve received some really nice kits (Lufthansa’s Oktoberfest Inspired Kit) and some major disappointments (Finnair’s Business Class Kit). We’ve also received a couple of basic amenity kits when flying in the back of the plane. Continue reading Have You Taken An Amenity Kit When Flying Coach?

American Airlines Eames First Class Kit

Airline amenity kits come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes & designs and are made by many different companies. The contents inside also vary from kit to kit.

I’ve received kits which were really bad, being not much more than a paper envelope with a few items inside (the worst amenity kit ever?) and have also received some great kits like the awesome and collectible Oktoberfest inspired kit from Lufthansa.

These are just a couple of examples of amenity kits given out by airlines- typically to premium cabin passengers. Continue reading Most Awesome Airline Amenity Kits
