I was feeling a bit under the weather so I didn’t post as much as I’d like to this week.

Regardless of how I felt,  this was a busy week here related to travel.

I decided to use Kim and my Hyatt free night certificates for a trip at the end of June. Surprisingly, I was able to get flights to our destination with an American Airlines MileSAAver level. It’s sad that this is a shocker… Continue reading 1,000 United Miles for $1, McDonald’s American Samoa, J.Crew $50 Off $50, 3 Year-Old Survives Plane Crash & More- The Rehash!

After a long wait, my newest credit card arrived. I’m currently working on the spend for the bonus which shouldn’t be hard to complete.

Kim got approved for the excellent JetBlue 60K bonus offer. She got a pending message and it said a response should come in a few weeks. The following day, she got a call from the bank and after a short conversation, she was approved! Kim and I both completed the offer to earn 7,500 Wyndham Rewards points per stay, up to two times.

One of my bonuses posted within a few days but the other bonus and Kim’s hadn’t posted. I reached out to Wyndham Rewards and was told that it could take some time from when the promo ended. It sounded odd that one out of four bonuses posted so quickly. I’m happy to report that all of our bonus points posted a couple of days back!

I was approved for a new card almost two weeks ago and am still waiting for it to arrive. I guess the bank is in no rush for me to use it! Continue reading No Food On AA Flights, Mile High Club- FBI Investigating, 9.5 Hours on Christmas Island, Shopping Portal Bonuses, $200 Beer & More- The Rehash

The new season of the Anthony Bourdain show Parts Unknown is half way through. He still has some interesting destinations coming up over the next month.

Anthony Bourdain isn’t afraid to share his opinions on his show and in life. My guess is that he probably has a hard time following the rules.

While filming a future episode, Bourdain got himself banned from the country Azerbaijan. Continue reading Anthony Bourdain Banned From Entering Azerbaijan
