Not So Refreshing: Water On Most Flights Not Safe To Drink

water
This sounds like a better option than water!

When I fly, I usually order water from the inflight service. For all of these years, I thought I was going the healthy route to stay hydrated and boy was I wrong!

Fox News reports that “a 2019 Airline Water Study conducted by Hunter College NYC Food Policy Canter and DietDetective.com investigated the water quality on 23 different U.S. airlines. According to the results, many airlines allegedly provide passengers with unhealthy water.” Continue reading Not So Refreshing: Water On Most Flights Not Safe To Drink

rehashI was recently approved for a new credit card. I’ve now had the card a couple of weeks and the minimum spend is almost completed. So, after a down year for earning miles and points through credit cards, I’m trying to end the year on positive note.

I decided to apply for another credit card and was instantly approved! I’m hoping to end 2019 by getting approved for at least one more credit card offering a solid sign up bonus. Haunted House Requires 40 Page Waiver To Enter, DC Museum Closing- Won’t Give Part of WTC To 9/11 Museum, 2nd Annual NY Pizza Festival & More- The Rehash!

rehashIt’s been a little while since we returned from our month-long trip around South Asia. With winter break a little over two months away, I’m currently on the hunt for a deal on a flight.

I’ve been checking some options using miles but I’ve been coming up empty handed. It seems highly unlikely that I’ll find a reward flight during the dates we’re off from work. All I can do is keep looking or hope for a good deal on a flight to purchase! With no clear use for it before expiration, Kim and I decided to use it for a short getaway for the kids. We checked out Dutch Wonderland, a small theme park which ended up being a lot of fun.

How has your week gone when it comes to miles, points and travel? Continue reading Bonus Marriott Points For Dining Out, Interesting Wyndham Timeshare Offer, Don’t Use Google Maps Here, Hacking Not Paying Extra Bag Fees & More- The Rehash!

Don’t Use Google Maps In This Italian Town!

google maps

Since getting T-Mobile a few years back, we’ve found Google Maps to be an indispensable tool when we rent a car around the world.

While Google Maps isn’t perfect, we usually don’t have much issue with finding our intended destination.

Lonely Planet reports that one “Italian town doesn’t want you to use Google Maps.” Continue reading Don’t Use Google Maps In This Italian Town!

Mini Soap Bottles Could Soon Be Banned At New York Hotels

new yorkA little over a year back I wrote a post wondering, will hotels get rid of mini shampoo bottles.

Over the past few years, we’ve noticed more and more properties offering wall mounted soap and shampoo rather than the mini bottles. While we don’t love this system, it is better for the environment. Continue reading Mini Soap Bottles Could Soon Be Banned At New York Hotels
