Hello All! This week I should have some updates on a couple of things. Back in October I wrote about how our stroller got broken during an American Airlines flight. After a long wait, the issue has been resolved. More on that in an upcoming post.
I decided to fill out the entries for IHG’s Priceless Surprises promo for Kim and got them in over the final couple of days. Kim already received 50 prize e-mails. I’ll share her results later in the week. While I was off from work this past week it was actually a good thing that we didn’t have a trip planned. (Yeah I just did say that!)
I was considering a weekend away and then considered just going away with Lucas for a few days. I ended up getting sick and feeling like crap for a week now so any travel would’ve been a bad move.
I applied for a couple of credit cards. I got one instant approval and am waiting to hear back from the bank on the other. I’m crossing my fingers that I go 2/2! I had a busy week filling out Kim’s entries for IHG Priceless Surprises. Mail-in entries needed to be postmarked by February 14. I dropped Kim’s entries off in two batches- 40 envelopes on Thursday (2/11) and the remaining 54 the following day. Now we’ll wait to see how long it takes to start receiving the Priceless Surprises e-mails.
To date I’ve received all 94 e-mails with 90 of my prizes posting to my IHG account so far. My total winnings from the promo came to 53,500 IHG points. Since my last post about IHG Priceless Surprises, another 3,500 points have posted to my IHG account. I’ve since mailed in my remaining 14 entries although I received a bunch of extras (entries) mentioned in the link above.
I decided to enter Kim’s account in the promo too but we have a lot more entries to write. (All entries must be postmarked by February 14, 2016.)

I can’t say that I have anything exciting to report when it comes to miles, points and travel from this past week. However, there are a couple of interesting things of note to report and remind you about (and they’re not exactly good news).
If you’re looking to book shorter routes with British Airways Avios, on February 2nd awards which cost 4,500 points will now cost 7,500 points. That’s a pretty big increase but still a pretty good deal.
