Who Owns the Overhead Bin Space

With all of the news in the past month about knee defenders and the right to recline, it made me wonder about another sensitive topic- the overhead bin.

I have to admit that Kim and I check our luggage probably on 98% of our flights. For longer trips, especially when you’re traveling with a toddler, fitting all of a family of three’s things into a couple of carry-on bags just isn’t going to happen. Continue reading Who Owns the Overhead Bin Space

JetBlue’s New & Improved Way to Serve You

jetblue logoIn my opinion, one of the best parts of flying with JetBlue isn’t the free DirecTV. What I’ve enjoyed from the airline the few times I’ve flown with them has been their complimentary snack offerings.

While on a JetBlue flight I find it appropriate to eat a tasty snack like Terra Blues Potato Chips. The last time we flew JetBlue Lucas most enjoyed the PopCorners Pop Chips.

But what’s an airline to do when they don’t use beverage/ food carts? Continue reading JetBlue’s New & Improved Way to Serve You

jetBlue Flight To Las Vegas Diverted Due To Unruly Dad

jetblue logoA jetBlue flight heading from New York (JFK) to Las Vegas had to be diverted due to an unruly passenger early Saturday morning.

I just heard about the incident in an e-mail from Gothamist which included a video from ABC News.

The flight took off at 6:20 AM and the passenger “lost it” around 90 minutes in. He was flying with family members and started yelling at everyone onboard. One passenger said the man woke up out of nowhere and started flipping outContinue reading jetBlue Flight To Las Vegas Diverted Due To Unruly Dad

jetBlue Extends Schedule

a blue background with white text

If you’ve been thinking of booking flights with jetBlue in early 2015, now you can. I just received an e-mail from the airline that they’ve extended their schedule!

While I’ve flown on many airlines, I’ve actually only flown with jetBlue five times.

Our most recent flight (to the Dominican Republic) was with them. Lucas enjoyed having his own IFE although the live programming cut out maybe an hour or so into the flight. Continue reading jetBlue Extends Schedule

I came across a very interesting article from the Huffington Post. According to the article, JetBlue seems to be a really helpful airline and really good for us, the consumer.

When JetBlue starts flying a domestic route, ticket prices on that route drop by 50% on average.

The information found for this research was compiled by travel research company Hopper. You can check out their findings about JetBlue impacting domestic routes here.

JetBlue’s Amazing Holiday Video: #FlyItForward

jetblue logo

This year, the airlines have been extremely creative with their holiday videos, doing a great job of spreading the message of joy and giving.

The first video that I saw was Delta’s Awesome Happy Holidays Video. Next up was the truly amazing WestJet Christmas Miracle video which you can see along with a video by American Airlines Spreading the Holiday Cheer. Check out both of these videos HERE.

I didn’t expect to come across any other videos this close to the holiday until I received an e-mail from JetBlue.

The subject was: JetBlue Encourages Customers To #FlyItForward This Holiday Season!

Jetblue Family Pooling Carnival- JFK Airport 10/11/13

TrueBlue Family Pooling - 46Last Thursday (October 10), Jetblue announced a way for families to earn award flights faster by combining their points with Family Pooling. Jetblue is the only airline in the U.S. to offer such an option but expects others to follow.
