ihg rewards club pointsIHG is offering a nice bonus for spending a 2 night stay in New York City.

The offer started back in September but I must’ve overlooked it since we never stay in the city.

Isn’t it ironic that I’m writing this post from the Intercontinental Times Square! (We’re staying here since we had to use Kim’s Chase IHG Anniversary Free Night before it expires.) Continue reading 10,000 Bonus IHG Points Per 2 Night Stay in NYC

US Bank FlexPerks

Yesterday I wrote a post about what should’ve been an easy way to earn 500 US Bank FlexPerks points for watching a short video.

With the offer, I needed to watch a short video about FamDoo, an allowance tool that helps parents reward their kids for desired behaviors. You can buy credits to give to your kids or transfer FlexPoints there. Continue reading Update: 500 Bonus US Bank FlexPerks Points

I Love Earning Unexpected Miles

a close-up of a sign

I’ve earned sign up bonuses for many of the dining programs and used to make an effort to dine in restaurants that participate. The problem is that few restaurants close to home seem to participate anymore, or at least one’s I’d want to go eat at.

When visiting new cities and states around the U.S., I always make it a point to check the handy and useful TV Food Maps app. Continue reading I Love Earning Unexpected Miles

There was recently lots of talk about a viral post about What It’s Like to Fly the $23,000 Singapore Airlines Suites Class. The post was a pretty fascinating read however there was a lot of controversy involving plagiarism and the stealing of other people’s photos.

One such blogger that called out the writer of the viral post was Prior2Boarding blog Andy’s Travel Blog. Check out his review of suites class here and his post thanking the people of Singapore, Reddit and the world for supporting him here.

While I don’t aspire to fly Suite’s Class, it is still pretty interesting to see the discrepancy between coach to suites. (While we’ve flown business and first a bunch of times, we’re typically coach flyers. We fly coach so we can stretch our miles to go on more trips.) a close up of a burgerMany of you may have noticed that I like to visit McDonald’s while traveling to foreign countries.

While I rarely dine at McDonald’s at home, I love seeing what interesting and unique items might be on the menu. It’s also a great place to get Lucas a little toy for being a good boy while we’re traveling. (He also happens to love their fries!) Continue reading Awesome McDonald’s Dishes You Can’t Get in America
