Over the winter break, the Michael W Travels family took our first international trip as a family of 4. Our destination was Costa Rica.

The Michael W Travels family recently got back from an awesome little trip to Ireland.
While Dublin is usually a quick flight from NYC, we flew on connecting flights each way. A small inconvenience is worth it to save on the cost of a flight, if you ask me…
During our travels we got to visit a Priority Pass lounge in three airports. Two of the lounges were solid offering food, snacks, drinks and a place to relax.

The other day the Michael W Travels Family flew on Iberia Airlines to Madrid on the way to our final destination, Dublin, Ireland.
I have to say that Iberia did not impress me at all. I felt claustrophobic in the seat and customer service wasn’t great either. The movie options during the flight were crappy too, but at least the meal was tasty although a bit salty!

This was our first time flying as a family of four. (Great job so far Theo!)

On the way to Costa Rica, we had to spend a night in Dallas since we couldn’t get a direct flight for a fair price using our miles or points.

It’s amazing how fast time flies.
Today is a very special day over here at Michael W Travels. My not-so-little man, Lucas turns 5 years old! We started off the festivities with a party in Lucas’s school and we’ll follow up with a dinner or two out before we have his real party over the weekend!
Lucas changed our world in so many amazing ways. He is a proud big brother, fun, loving, friendly & happy kid and a true world traveler. He’s also one of the most calm and smooth flyers I know.
