While planning the trip, we decided to stick to the mainland and take a pass on visiting the Azores. Kim and I have been wanting to check out the islands for a while now but we decided that it wasn’t worth it for this trip given our time constraints (a little over a week). Giving up your seat or getting bumped from a flight can be quite profitable.

On the way home from our winter break trip to Austin, Texas, the Michael W Travels family received $2,700 in Delta Airlines vouchers for giving up our three seats on the flight back to NYC.

The TSA Instagram Account Lets Us Know If Dead Bugs Can Fly!

TSA InstagramThe TSA Instagram account is one of my favorites for good reason.

They share funny posts about items they find at airports like a lost bowling ball and Batman’s Batarang.

The TSA social media account can also be very helpful since you can send them questions and find out if your item in question is allowed to fly. Continue reading The TSA Instagram Account Lets Us Know If Dead Bugs Can Fly!

Rideshare companies like Uber and Lyft have become enormously popular, helping you to be able to hail a ride at the touch of a button from your mobile device.

A couple of years back I wrote about how one city would be subsidizing Uber rides.

Now one rideshare company will be replacing the public transportation option in Arlington, Texas. Continue reading Arlington Texas Cuts Bus Service For Via Ridesharing Vans
