Our Spring Break came to an end on Friday, sort of… Due to a flight cancellation, we ended up with another mini-trip in St. Louis.

I’d say that our flight home from Montevideo, Uruguay was probably the longest journey that we’ve ever been on. (I plan to write about it in a future post.)

The Michael W Travels family is currently away for Spring Break in South America.

We started off our trip in Buenos Aires and had an excellent time. While there are no true must- see sights, we enjoyed exploring the city and also trying some of the great food!

Today we arrived in Uruguay where we’ll spend a few days before (sadly) heading home.

Over this past weekend, I used my last uncapped IHG Anniversary Free Night for a stay in NYC. (Staycation!)

We used our time in the city to check out the newly opened Hudson Yards. This is a really great new area to check out with great food options and fun things to do. I plan to write about it in a future post.

After much procrastination, we finally finished all of the bookings for our upcoming Spring Break trip.

With the aid of miles, points, rewards and a goodwill coupon, the budget for this trip (happily) came in much lower than I expected. It’s hard to believe that we’re already into the month of April. This is good news as our Spring Break trip is just a little over two weeks away!

After completing the minimum spend on my newest credit card, I’m on the lookout for a new card or maybe I’ll just get Kim the Barclay Arrival card too. Our Spring Break trip is fast approaching. Besides flights, a ferry ride and one hotel night, we still need to figure out hotels for the rest of our trip. This shouldn’t be too difficult!
