Last week we used our Hyatt credit card free nights for a two- night hotel stay. Kim had to work so I went away with Lucas and my nephew.
Our upcoming summer trip is around 10 days away. We’ve made steady progress with our plans but still have a lot to get done.

We got back from our trip to Iceland a little over a week back and we’re already in the middle of planning our next adventure.
Luckily, American Airlines miles came in handy for our upcoming month-long trip to South Asia. I was also able to use some BA Avios for one of the inter-country flights. Kim and I still have a ton more work to do but we’re off to a good start! We flew home from Iceland on July 4th. Kim and Theo had some nice views of the fireworks, sadly I couldn’t really see much from my aisle seat on the other side of the plane.
We all really enjoyed Iceland and hope to return soon. I currently have a flight on hold for our August trip. When I confirm it, we’ll have a lot of work to do putting together the rest of the pieces. Luckily, we consider this part of the fun! Back in February, we were flying home from Barcelona to NYC with a stop in London. When I got my boarding pass for the London-NYC flight I had the four letters you never wanted to see.
When you get SSSS on your boarding pass, you’re in for an additional security check which can be quite annoying. To my surprise, it wasn’t that bad.

Last week, the Michael W Travels family flew to Iceland.
The plane we flew on had a single aisle with 3 seats on each side (sorry, I forgot the type of plane). Since we’re a family of four, we had three seats next to each other for Kim & the kids and I was assigned the aisle seat across from their row.

In less than two days we’ll be leaving on our first trip of the summer.
