American Airlines

Earlier in 2016 I sadly had to call in to American Airlines and cancel an AA award to Fiji and Vanuatu. As tough as it was to cancel our flights it was for an awesome reason. It also opened the door to taking My First Father Son Trip to Poland with Lucas.

After cancelling an award flight, some of you may have wondered what happened to my miles? Continue reading American Airlines Does Have A Heart

The Workingman’s Friend, An Odd But Tasty Burger Experience

Workingman's FriendOver the summer Lucas and I went away three weeks in a row, coming home each week on Friday to visit Kim before going away again. This was an interesting summer adventure which also ended up being a lot of fun.

Our third trip was to Indianapolis, Indiana.

When we arrived after the short flight, we were hungry for lunch. There was one place that I had to go. Since Lucas & I were in the mood for a burger, we headed to a place I’ve wanted to visit for quite some time. We headed from the airport straight over to The Workingman’s Friend. Did Lucas & I Conquer Big Jud’s 1lb Burger in Boise

Big Juds

Lucas and I recently went on a trip to Boise, Idaho.

This was our first time to the state of Idaho and we spent our time primarily in Boise.

When we arrived after a long day of flying, we checked into our hotel and then headed out for dinner. Our destination was Big Jud’s, a restaurant that I came across from the TV show Man vs Food due to their burger challenges. Continue reading Did Lucas & I Conquer Big Jud’s 1lb Burger in Boise

A couple of years back I wrote about odd hotel assistant jobs that exist like a fish valet, fragrance butler, fireplace butler and more. I also wrote about odd and unique hotel concierges like critter concierge, apothecary concierge and a soap concierge.

I just received a press release about a new concierge coming to the historic Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, D.C. Continue reading The Willard Intercontinental Offering A Kiddie Concierge!

11 Things I Learned From My 1st Father Son Trip

Father Son Trip

Lucas and I recently went on our 1st Father Son Trip. The destination wasn’t so important when the idea came up but I knew it had to be an international trip.

I decided on Poland since it was a country I’ve long wanted to visit plus I was able to get an award flight there in business class using my AAdvantage miles. (Check out my Poland Trip Planning post here.) Continue reading 11 Things I Learned From My 1st Father Son Trip

Many people work hard to earn airline status to enjoy the added benefits. (Think upgrades, early boarding & free checked bags…)

Unless you have lifetime status, your airline loyalty most probably only lasts for one year unless you re-earn it.

One airline has come out with a new program for new parents called the “Parental Pause” status hold. Continue reading New Parents Can Put Airline Status On Hold with This Airline

I recently had to cancel an AA award flight to Fiji and Vanuatu for a very good reason.

With Kim grounded from flying while pregnant with Baby W Travels, a family trip to the Pacific won’t be happening but Lucas & I are going on our first father son trip!

When the idea came up, I figured visiting Europe would be a good idea. I also wanted to visit a country that I haven’t made it to before so when I found award availability to Poland, I pulled the trigger. Continue reading 200,000 AA Miles + $563.45 + Club Carlson E-Cert= Trip for 2 to Poland
