Another week of the summer has quickly passed and there isn’t much new to report for myself in terms of miles, points and travel. The fun begins for us when we go away two weeks from today!

This summer seems to be flying by. I’m half way through the summer school session which means I’m just three weeks away from leaving on our next trip in mid-August. We have some loose ends to tie- up before we finish off our plans.

I applied and was instantly approved for another Alaska Airlines credit card however I’m still hoping a new card offers a big bonus before the year is over. It’s been a tiring first week back to work but a positive is that there’s only 5 weeks left before we go away on our next trip!

I’ve been having a very slow year earning miles & points from credit card offers so I decided to go for the Citi Hilton card. Citi is currently offering an increased offer of 75,000 points, up from 40K. We got home late last night from our first trip of the summer. Kim, Lucas and I had a very nice time traveling around Nicaragua.

As usual, it’s never enough time as we could’ve used another 5-7 days to see more of the country. I’d mark this visit an incomplete one since there is more that I’d like to see and do in Nicaragua in the future.
