Earlier in the week Kim, Lucas and I got back from our trip to the Middle East Gulf states. The trip was much better than we expected but we’re still a bit off-schedule due to the long flight home. Hopefully another couple of days and we’ll all be back on track.

There isn’t much to report here when it comes to miles & points but I do plan to start getting out some posts about our most recent trip. Today is the last day of our trip to the Middle East Gulf States. It’s been a really great trip but I think that its safe to say that Kim, Lucas and I have seen enough of their forts and shopping malls! (We did see lots of other interesting things too…)

During the trip we visited 4 countries including 5 of the 7 United Arab Emirates. (I had previously been to Dubai in 2009 so I visited 3 new countries during the trip.)

I haven’t had much time to follow-up with what’s going on in the world of miles & points but I did apply for the Amex Platinum 100K offer for Kim. Currently Kim, Lucas and I are on our trip around some of the Middle East Gulf States.

So far we’ve visited Abu Dhabi (UAE), Bahrain, Qatar and (at the time of writing) are on our way to Oman where we’ll spend around five days seeing the country. The trip’s been going well so far with lots of moving around (and flights). It’s also been extremely hot although it isn’t like we didn’t expect it.

We’ve been very busy so there hasn’t been much doing in terms of miles and points other than the fact that we used lots of them to keep the costs down during this little adventure!
