Confusing: TopCashBack- 7% Cash Back At IHG or InterContinental Properties?

topcashback
I just received an e-mail from TopCashBack about a limited time offer to receive 7% cash back when staying at IHG properties.

If you’re looking to pay for an upcoming stay this can amount to a nice little savings and is definitely worth looking into.

However, when I clicked the link in the e-mail it brought me to an offer for InterContinental Hotels, not all IHG properties! Continue reading Confusing: TopCashBack- 7% Cash Back At IHG or InterContinental Properties?

IHG, Thanks For Letting Me Know

IHG Rewards Club
Back in November I wrote about a crazy expensive Chase IHG Rewards Club Anniversary Free Night we weren’t booking.

With Kim’s anniversary free night expiring, this led us to book an unnecessary (and expensive) night at  the Intercontinental Times Square. I used my anniversary free night  recently at Holiday Inn Express Charleston Downtown. Continue reading IHG, Thanks For Letting Me Know

500 IHG Points or 2 Bottles of Water- What Would You Choose?

IHG Rewards ClubA short while ago, Kim, Lucas and I checked into the Holiday Inn Express Charleston Downtown- Ashley River.

Upon pulling up, the hotel seemed nice enough as did the lobby. There were a couple of people online waiting to check-in before it was our turn.

The overly-friendly rep went over all of the formalities and thanked me for being an IHG Platinum member. You’re welcome, thanks for the credit card offering a free night each year just for paying the $49 annual fee! Continue reading 500 IHG Points or 2 Bottles of Water- What Would You Choose?

10,000 Bonus IHG Points Per 2 Night Stay in NYC

ihg rewards club pointsIHG is offering a nice bonus for spending a 2 night stay in New York City.

The offer started back in September but I must’ve overlooked it since we never stay in the city.

Isn’t it ironic that I’m writing this post from the Intercontinental Times Square! (We’re staying here since we had to use Kim’s Chase IHG Anniversary Free Night before it expires.) Continue reading 10,000 Bonus IHG Points Per 2 Night Stay in NYC

Last month I wrote about a Crazy Expensive IHG Anniversary Free Night We’re Not Booking.

While we had some good ideas and plans for Kim’s free night , nothing seemed to work out to make it useful for an actual trip. We couldn’t just let the free night expire so we decided to book a room in the last place we’d expect  (a place I mentioned in the post above).

We didn’t really have time to go too far, plus we wanted to feel like we were getting a good deal for the free night. This is what led us to our selection. Continue reading Expensive IHG Anniversary Free Night We Booked

Wrong To Sign Kids Up for Loyalty Programs When Under Age?

hotel loyalty program(Don’t forget to enter my giveaway for a chance to win a pair of the best travel pants ever!)

Fellow BoardingArea blogger Gary of View From the Wing posted about getting 2,000 free IHG Rewards Club Points for signing up for a new account yesterday.

Since Kim and I have been members of IHG Rewards Club for year, this offer didn’t apply to us, however it did for Lucas.

I figured that if Lucas got 2,000 points just for signing up, I could probably figure out a way to get him another 3,000 points. Continue reading Wrong To Sign Kids Up for Loyalty Programs When Under Age?
