Kim, Lucas and I recently spent a night at IHG’s new EVEN Hotels location in NYC at Times Square South. We booked the hotel using an IHG credit card anniversary free night. (IHG credit cardholders get one free night at any hotel around the world each year.)

After staying at the EVEN Hotels in Norwalk, CT, I was happy to see that the EVEN brand was expanding by adding 3 NYC locations.

On Friday, December 11 I received 21 prize e-mails from IHG Priceless Surprises.

It seemed that the e-mails were arriving on Fridays but I failed to receive any more the following week! My guess would be that the prize administrator, Hello World was a bit busy getting flooded with mailed in entries.

IHG Anniversary Free Night: $49 For A $415 Hotel Room

One perk which makes the IHG credit card a keeper is the IHG Anniversary Free night.

With the benefit you get one free night each year at any IHG property around the world. This makes paying the $49 annual fee a relative bargain. In the past I’ve used my free night at hotels at some very nice properties.

In 2012 we stayed at the Intercontinental Singapore. Last year I wrote about a crazy expensive IHG Anniversary Free Night that we weren’t booking. I then wrote about an expensive IHG Anniversary night that we did book. We also used two certificates over the summer at the Intercontinental Muscat during our trip to the Mid-East Gulf States.

Uber $20 Off + 2,000 IHG Points

Uber referrals are a great way to earn free ride credits and share free rides with others.

Referral credits typically come to $15-$20 off of a ride. The only negative I’ve noticed with these credits is that if your ride is cheaper than the credit you earned, you lose the remaining amount. (They also expire 3 months from issue date.)

IHG’s EVEN Hotels Adding 3 NYC Locations!

Last year, Kim, Lucas and I spent a night at the EVEN Hotels location in Norwalk, CT. (Check out my review of the property here.)

The reason for our stay was to earn a pretty lucrative bonus from the Into the Nights promotion. It turned out that our stay at the  EVEN Hotel Norwalk didn’t only help to earn us two free nights and a bunch of bonus points, it would also be one of our most fun and memorable hotel stays.

We loved the style of the room, comfort of the bed, had fun trying out the in-room workout equipment as well as playing board games in the lobby bar area.
