With an impending snowstorm on the way, we found out earlier today that schools would be closed here in NYC! This will be a good opportunity for Kim and I to work on the plans for our Spring Break trip which is a little over three weeks away.

I was happy to get approved for my first new credit card of 2017. No, it wasn’t a card with a 100,000 miles bonus offer but I’ll take 50,000 more American Airlines miles. (Although it’s been extremely hard to redeem the AA miles I already have.)

Swimming Pigs in Bahamas Found Dead

Kim and I have had many wonderful animal experiences during our travels over the years.

We loved seeing a wide variety of wildlife during our visits to Africa, were educated and got up close with elephants at the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand, swam with turtles in Barbados and got to see turtles lay eggs in Oman. (Check out a post from 2012 which has My Top 5 Animal Encounters.)

Besides trekking to see mountain gorillas in Africa again or swimming with whale sharks, a top animal experience I’ve been hoping to do would be to revisit the Bahamas to see their swimming pigs. Continue reading Swimming Pigs in Bahamas Found Dead

For those of you unsure of the term IFE, it’s the In-Flight Entertainment system that helps us get through a flight.

It seems that Qantas isn’t doing well when it comes to their IFEs.Ā  Continue reading IFE Injures Toddler’s Finger, Qantas Being Sued

American Airlines Gold status is the lowest tier of status and it doesn’t really offer a ton of benefits. However it does allow for one free checked bag and priority boarding. Continue reading American Airlines Introducing New, Simplified Boarding Process
