There seems to always be some sort of bonus offer when signing up for airline and hotel dining programs.

I recently wrote, Join MileagePlus & AAdvantage Dining, Earn 1,500 to 2,000 Bonus Miles. The United offer has since ended (a new offer is currently available, more on that later) but you can still earn up to 2,000 bonus miles with AADining until the end of the month.

I recently wrote about sign up bonuses for a couple of airline dining programs.

While dining programs are a great way to earn extra miles/ points (which can extend the expiration date of a loyalty program), you need to remember to link credit cards to your accounts.

Miles and points earned from participating restaurants also don’t cost you anything extra. You are getting rewarded for a spend you were most likely making regardless…

At the end of March I applied and was approved for the Wyndham Rewards Visa from Barclays Bank.

While Wyndham isn’t a brand that we typically stay at and the card didn’t come with an amazing sign up offer, I still decided to get it. I felt that the sign up bonus of 45,000 points would come in handy in the future. I could use the bonus points to book 3 free nights at any Wyndham hotel or spend 3,000 points and some cash (as another option) per night. And They’re Back! British Airways Avios Return

British Airways AviosThis past Friday many of us tried logging into our British Airways accounts to find ourselves to be locked out. Upon changing the account password and getting back in, we then found our accounts to be zeroed out!

It turned out that this was done preemptively by BA to protect our accounts. Too bad the airline wasn’t wise enough to notify us when this action took place…
